If NPR and PBS's programming is so valuable to everyone then it should have no problem generating the revenue necessary to support itself like every other network.

 

Since you don't watch Fox it's time for you to catch a clue - it does include LW viewpoints and contributors to its programs.

Does that make FNC neutral? Not anymore than it makes NPR and PBS neutral.

You may be kidding yourself thinking that any news outlet and program is free of bias, but you're not fooling the majority of Americans who know better. ALL news outlets are biased, and NPR and PBS's news programs are no exception. Presenting opposing views doesn't make a network objective and unbiased. Even the flagship propaganda bullhorn of the Left, MSNBC, includes opposing viewpoints on its shows.

And which of those sides is NOT PRESENTED ELSEWHERE ON NON-GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED NETWORKS?

And if you are going to fund PBS and their news reporting FOX deserves equal treatment along with all the other news networks, if not why not? Why should some citizens get their news reporting subsidized by the the government and others not?

Public broadcasting is as unbiased as anything can be, it offers all sides of an issue and it isn't just newscasts that are going to be cut , it's some of the other excellent programs that will be cut...NPR and PBS are not just news outlets, didn't you know that?

Are you another Public Broadcasting hater who never watches so they have no clue about what they hate, they only know they hate it?

As I stated many posts ago, righties hate public TV that they never watch (the proof is that they think it's all news or Sesame Street) because it covers science, the arts in all forms, documentaries especially those about women or minorities( I doubt any watched what women went through to get the vote or any stories about women in war, etc.), great British drama that makes American TV shows look like the crap they are....in other words, they hate PBS because it won't agree with them....and because they were told to.

 

And that's why I said earlier no proof of bias would be accepted to someone like you on the left. Thank you for proving my point.

All those educational type channels do nothing but reruns of Duck dynasty, pawn stars, american pickers, 24/7. Thats where the educational network of PBS will be.
