Go right ahead and report these imaginary insults since that is the appropriate means of dealing with them in this forum.

FTR stating facts and quoting from credible sources like the FBI are not insults.

    So once again

Insinuating that our military is mostly just a bunch of criminal gangbangers trying to stay out of jail is an insult.

Calling the military "to intellectually lazy to learn form the mistakes of the past" is an insult.

I made no such "insinuation" at all. I posted the facts as reported by the FBI. If you want to accuse the FBI of making those "insinuations" then go right ahead.
Reading comprehension skills are notably lacking!

That comment referred specifically to your beloved Trump, not the military!

    Zero for two!

Neither the FBI nor the report you posted even remotely claim that the military is 'filled' with gangsters. The word 'filled' is never even used in the entire report. That insinuation comes from you and you alone and is, as stated above, an insult. Are there gang members who join the military? No freaking (*)(*)(*)(*). Why wouldn't there be? Hell I can think of 3 guys right off the top of my head that I served with that I know had been affiliated with gangs before joining. Great guys. Good Marines. Served with honor and fought for our country. And today the 2 that are put are living great lives and are in no way affiliated with those past groups. Yet you would insult them and thier sacrifices and the thousands of other men and women who have put on the uniform just because you don't like Trump?

In regards to trump picking a military general whom you have constantly bashed purely because trump has picked him.

Look kid maybe you didn't realize what you were saying were insults but they were. Just own up to it and move on already.

Ironic that you don't understand that calling someone a kid is an insult.

You are welcome to your misinformed opinions but they don't alter the facts as reported by the FBI.

But since you have admitted that you served alongside gang members you have proven my point so there is nothing further to discuss.

    Have a nice day!

We are still speaking past each other. I know it is a law. I am asking for a rule that says the Senate leader cannot bundle this law with the nomination process. They bundle laws all the time. What exactly prohibits them from adding a law to the nomination vote?

Now THAT is funny....we have too many elderly ships and too few new ones that actually work.

For the task of preventing a landing force of a couple of million troops the current navy is more than adequate.

That is true as long as we maintain a technological edge. Like it or not that doesn't come cheap.

What kind of technological edge would be necessary to land an invasion force of several million troops on the continental USA?

Eggheads have been "on the cutting edge" of inventing alternative fuels for donkeys years but it ain't happened yet!
You'd think it'd be easy to mix a bunch of chemicals together to artificially make petrol and gasoline and oil, but they've been stumped and scratching their heads for years..:)

Brazil uses ethanol which is an alcohol based fuel made from sugar cane and FTR Brazil is about the same physical size as the USA and it has a population of 200 million. Cars in Brazil have a "dual fuel" mode that enables them to switch between gasoline and ethanol while driving. This technology has been around since the 1970's and the cars are made by Ford, GM, VW, etc, etc.

So there is a viable alternative to fossil fuels even if you have never heard of it.

So you don't know of any technological advantage that our current navy is not already utilizing?

Biodiesel works for tanks, trains and trucks and biofuels have already been tested and work for both military and commercial aircraft.

Ethanol in Brazil is cheaper than gasoline.

The biofuels required for ships, tanks and planes is not the same as gasoline. It is more expensive to make

Agreed, biodiesel is more expensive but ethanol produced in Brazil is cheaper. FTR the corn ethanol produced her in the states is a boondoggle way of subsidizing the big corn producers. If ethanol was produced from wild sawgrass it would cost less than half as much.

    - - - Updated - - -

Because those politicians are bought and paid for by the fossil fuel lobby in Congress.

The real cost of fossil fuels is even more expensive but no one wants to admit to the loss of lives, limbs, environments, pollution, etc.

The cost to land a couple of million troops on the continental USA is already too expensive to be worthwhile for any aggressor nation. Spending more on the military won't make any difference to them but it will cause significant harm to US taxpayers.

I think we already did that.

Besides that, we're strong because we have other strong nations on our side, and any assault on any of us would be a mistake.

Besides that, we're strong because we have a strong economy and have strong economic partners, making it possible to reduce other nations without using military force.

In fact, our trade deals make us safer in that nations opposed to us or our trading partners risk economic downturn.

There's no reason for us to be dumping more military buildup into our national debt.

That is the LEAST productive investment the USA could possibly make. Investing in our economy, investing in our partnerships - these are the areas where investments make us stronger AND give a return for citizens, rather than just producing more military hardware to park somewhere.
