He keeps proving why people showed up to vote against him in 2020, and probably will again

Trump comments on Jews who vote for Democrats draw outrage
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-comments-jews-democrats-outrage/
New York — Former President Donald Trump on Monday charged that Jews who vote for Democrats "hate Israel" and hate "their religion," igniting a firestorm of criticism from the White House and Jewish leaders.

Trump, in an interview, had been asked about Democrats' growing criticism of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his handling of the war in Gaza as the civilian death toll continues to mount.

"I actually think they hate Israel," Trump responded to his former aide, Sebastian Gorka. "I think they hate Israel. And the Democrat party hates Israel."

didn't the Trump family lie about his German ancestry to con Jews?

even changed their name from "Drumpf" to "Trump"

"Trump's family denied German heritage for years"

    https://www.cnn.com/2017/11/28/politics/trump-family-heritage/index.html

"John Walter, a Trump family historian and one of Donald Trump's cousins, said this was an effort to not offend his Jewish customers."

""He said, 'You don't sell apartments after the war if you're German,' " Walter said in the Boston Globe article. "So he's Swedish, no problem.""

This is what Trump does. He uses his outrageousness to keep him in the news, front page, headline star, relegate other to include Biden to the back pages. His outrageousness worked in 2016, he was always the first story in the news reports, Clinton was later on toward the end of the broadcast. Trump is like that old showman who believes that there isn’t such a thing as bad publicity, no publicity is bad. It worked in 2016. COVID shut him down pretty much in 2020. But Trump has returned with a vengeance with his outrageousness. Trump hogs the news, the limelight, Biden has become back page news if in the news at all.

Most folks have become use to Trump’s outrageousness and just slough it off. Of course, Democrats will always be outraged, Republicans will say that’s right, cheer him on, independents for the most part just shrug and move on. That’s Trump being Trump and pay little to no attention to it.

in 2016, most did not think Trump could win, so did not bother voting, they though no way the right votes for this idiot

    (that only works once)

now they know Trump could win... so he gets out the dem vote

Actually Covid did the opposite. It gave him the opportunity to do his daily briefings on prime time, which were 10% about Covid and 90% about campaigning. Its this kind of talk which cost him 2020.

You said he is trolling. He is targeting Jews in his speech, so he is trolling Jews. Did you mean something else?

You’re correct to a certain extent. The Democrats had a 6-point party affiliation advantage in Nov 2016, but only a 3-point advantage among those who actually voted in 2016. But it was mostly independents that stayed away from the polls in 2016 due to the fact they disliked both Trump and Clinton. 54% of all independents disliked both. Among those independents who did vote, they went for Trump 46-42 over Clinton with 12% voting third party against both.

    https://news.gallup.com/opinion/pol...mericans-dislike-presidential-candidates.aspx

Voter turnout for 2016, 54% using VAP, 137 million. Voter turnout for 2020 62%, 160 million. 3rd party vote for 2016 6.0% 8.2 million, third party vote for 2020 1.7%, 2.8 million. You had 23 million new voters who didn’t vote in 2016 who did in 2020, Biden won those new voters 64-32 over Trump. But 2020 was when Biden was liked, Trump disliked. Voters wanted Trump gone.

Today, we have a repeat of 2016 where both major party candidates are disliked. Where most Americans don’t want neither one to become the next president. Which brings up the question, will those independents who didn’t vote in 2016, but did in 2020 return to not voting again in 2024 or go back to voting third party due to their immensely dislike and unwantedness of both major party candidates? Time will tell.

One last interesting tid bit. Among Biden supporters, 67% are anti-Trump, only 30% pro-Biden. Trump supporters are just the opposite 68% pro-Trump, only 28% anti-Biden. Another tid bit for 2024, independents which went for Biden 54-41 over Trump in 2020 are today leaning toward Trump 38-33 with the rest in the vote third party, will not vote or undecided columns. This is why Trump leads in the 2-candidate race, the three-candidate race and the five-candidate race. Bottom line, Biden has risen to Trump levels in the dislike and don’t want columns among independents.

agree, the one advantage Dems have right now is the black vote, if Dems get that vote in 2024, Trump loses, doesn't stand a chance

count me as an anti-Trump vote, not a pro-Biden vote

I always disliked Trump, never voted for him, never will. Although I did vote third party in 2016, against both Clinton and Trump. My dislike of both bordered on disdain. I went for Biden in 2020, but mostly to get rid of Trump. Biden was to be a transition president, someone in-between Trump and whoever came next. Transition presidents or transition anything don’t run for reelection. I wonder how many other swing voters who voted for Biden in 2020 viewed him as a safe transition president. I assume quite a lot since many folks voted for Biden then republican down ballot enabling the GOP to pick up 13 house seats. But you know what they say about assumptions.

Among Blacks today, 68% support Biden, 15% say they’ll vote for Trump. That 15% would be the most Black support any Republican presidential candidate has received since Gerald Ford gained 15% back in 1976. The 68% would be the lowest black support since JFK back in 1960 received exactly that, 68%. But according to the poll, there are still 17% of blacks in the vote third party, will not vote, undecided columns which will push Biden above 68%. But one must wonder about the 15% stating they’ll vote for Trump.

Biden received 92% of the black vote in 2020, he’s has quite a way to go to come close to that in 2024. And then there’s the Hispanic vote which is another subject for another day.

I admit thinking Biden would have dropped out by now, but he seems serious about wanting 2nd term. Trump has plenty of time to drive away Hispanic and black support. Just yesterday he told Jews to go pound sand.

It’s early, plenty of time for folks to change their minds. But you have this - Most voters have already made up their minds about November. What I find most interesting in the link below is 50% of all voters aren’t considering voting for Trump, the same percentage aren’t considering voting for Biden.

As for Jews, they mainly vote democratic anyway.

I think you link talks about registered voters. No doubt registered Dems will pull for Biden, and registered Repubs will pull for Trump.

"40% of voters say they could still change their mind, including similar shares of Biden and Trump supporters"

I think Trump's comment is fair. when Hamas attacked Israel many on the left lost all credibility as their anti-semitism was on full display.

Given how Democrats keep trying to stab Israel on the back and empower Islamists in the I.S.... No intelligent person should be voting for Democrats.

Could, but will they? They really haven't since September of last year. But that isn't what caught my eye or the most. It's was the 50% that wouldn't consider Biden along with 50% that won't consider Trump. How many of those 50% aren't considering either one remains to be seen. But perhaps we can get an idea when we go to the three candidate or four candidate race. RFK Jr is polling 15%, then RFK Jr. West and Stein together are polling 17%.

    https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-biden-vs-kennedy

    https://www.realclearpolling.com/po...24/trump-vs-biden-vs-kennedy-vs-west-vs-stein

That is very high for third party polling which hasn’t been seen since Ross Perot. Not even in 2016 when 6% ended up voting third party. Which speaks of the total dissatisfaction with the choices offered by both major parties to a large chunk of the voters.

but you do get some bad apples in there, especially would question high results for the black vote voting for Trump, that sounds questionable
