    Would the FBI, CIA or the American public be able to verify that any 'dirt' that a hostile foreign government hellbent on destroying democracies around the world is truth?

    It doesn't make sense to you because you don't want it to. Look at this thread, the left is accusing Trump of treason over something he didn't do all while they say Clinton and Obama are totally innocent even though they actually did it. Why would Obama campaign in Germany and O'Rourke take out ads in Juarez if they weren't trying to get help from foreigners?

    What does that matter when it comes to dirt on a candidate?

    If they benefit from it they aren't the ones that caused it.

    What you are arguing is that they should keep it secret and not let the American voters know the truth.

    Is that what you really want?

    To vote for someone who might be dirty to run our nation just so some other nation doesn't benefit from it?

    It matters because these are governments that HATE the US, they HATE democracy, they want to destroy it, they want to disrupt, sully, dirty up, divide and cause chaos. THAT is what's wrong with it. And hear me when I say this now. When Donald Trump talks on camera publicly, China listens carefully, Russia listens carefully, Saudi Arabia listens carefully, and every enemy of democracy is sitting up and paying attention. He literally gave a big flashing green light to any one of a number of enemies to the US to approach Trump with information that will serve one purpose --- THEIR purpose.

    Trump's breathtaking stupidity never ceases to amaze me. Trump, in a few words, admitted he would willingly, even gladly, collude with a foreign government to sway our election. THAT'S COLLUSION. Some of stuff the Trump defenders posted here is just plain moronic. Either they are dumber than a box of rocks or the just don't care about America because they've sold out to a con man with a bag of magic beans. Unbelievable all around.

    Give me a break. Our own news channels don’t even care if it is truth. I don’t see any problem with getting dirt wherever it comes from. The people will decide if they believe it or not. They seem to believe crazy **** anyway that is coming from the news now.

    Collusion? In an article posted on a liberal hate site there's no context to what Trump said, and all he said so far was that he'd listen. How is listening amount to collusion? You guys listened to the Steele dossier and were just drooling over the possibility that Putin had a pee video. You guys were sporting wood over that Russian interference only to find out you needed a cold shower.

    As we have heard over and over all you have to do is pay an American law firm and get dirt from whomever and it's all fine. Bottom line the only campaign that got any dirt on their opponent in 2016 from Russia was the Democrats. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

    The article is a misquoted hit piece. I just saw the actual video, when asked if he should accept the info or call the FBI, Trump said you do both.
