    Donald Trump has been described as the “chosen one” by his secretary of energy, Rick Perry.

    “God’s used imperfect people all through history,” Mr Perry told the broadcaster. “King David wasn’t perfect, Saul wasn’t perfect, Solomon wasn’t perfect.”

    “I shared it with him and said, ‘Mr President, I know there are people that say you said you were the chosen one and I said, ‘You were,’” Mr Perry said.

    God may work in mysterious ways, but he's really pushing the envelope here... If Trump was sent by any higher power, it was more likely to have been by the other side..

    If this is the case, then it appears Jehovah has sent his "chosen one" Adam Schiff to do battle, and given him power over God's "chosen one". Do we have a holy war here?

    The only thing that is completely clear here is that Rick Perry is officially a nutjob. Thoughts?

    The country was definitely headed in the wrong direction after eight years of Obama, and following it with four years of Obama 2.0 Hillary could have been disastrous. I don't know about attributing Trump's victory to holy intervention ---- but I do thank God he won! :D

    Shouldn't he be replaced as Energy Secretary immediately then? Isn't it a bit dangerous to have a religious zealot in charge of a cabinet position??

    Uh, I disagree....Trump supporters don't think he was chosen by God, they think he IS god....their preference over that other "do-gooder" God....

    My Mom believes the same as Rick Perry. I thought she was just having a senior citizen moment. Then I read the posts from Trumpservatives here and I realize the world is bat **** crazy. LOL

    Sorry to hear about your mom's condition...

    My mom passed in 2007, and I imagine she's spinning in her grave watching what's happened to her country, although she would be happy her beloved Virginia (lifelong resident like myself) is refusing to participate in it....

    I've had dreams where she comes back and I have to explain to her how we ended up with a POS like Donald Trump.... she'd equally laugh and be horrified, which is pretty much the Trump platform...

    Well, best of luck with that, since our secular society is about to impeach him... you'd think the Chosen One could prevent that somehow (locusts??), but I guess the Chosen Ones of today aren't as good as the Chosen Ones of the past..... sort of like washing machines...
