Don't pretend you care about law proceedure. Republicans are constantly attacking the Constitutional right to abortion.

High potential for abuse? How so? You literally can't abuse pot it's impossible to OD on marijuana and it's not addictive.

That is proper law procedure. It is very proper law procedure to rewrite laws so that they will fit the Constitution. Please have a real argument, rather than "Republican bad."

Abuse doesn't mean overdose. And, yes, pot can be abused. If you don't realize that you don't know many teen smokers.

I just don't get what kind of abuse you mean. Like worse abuse than teens drinking and driving?

That wasn't my claim. There is much more profit in keeping it illegal. It would just go to the pharm and prison industry. Personally, I am glad to see honest businesses profiting from the sale of pot instead of gang members.

you need to read again - the law is the law and the feds are not following the law

"Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and high potential for abuse."

that little word "and" means both have to be true, not either or

now it could be a schedule II, but not a Schedule I

Agreed! However they must be eating the cheeseburger while running the person over.

Same concern with Alcohol, if you drive drunk, you have problems, if you drive impaired by any substance, even prescribed pharmaceuticals, you will have problems when you get pulled over for driving erratically, same thing with Marijuana, I was driving and at a light, the passenger blew a clout of smoke into My face and laughed like a Jack Ass as they drove off, I returned home.

And yet there are lots of exceptions written into the cell phone laws, not all cell phone use in vehicles is prohibited and a buch of people are exempt such as F.C.C. licensed communications as well as first responders and Police / EMS / Fire Departments, Feds, are automatically exempt.

No one impaired should get behind the wheel. When I go to poker night with friends, I take Uber there and back.

If Mr. Magoo does not align himself with the boss on this, he could find himself canned.
