So you actually think that Illinois will succeed or win anything by removing Trump from the state ballot? First off, it's highly unlikely that this tactic will succeed. Thinking deeper, it may actually do severe harm to those who tried it or supported it.

NJ democrats have the same problem and I hope they do try to sabotage Trump by removing his name from the ballot as this entire thing could very well backfire on the democrats when the people suddenly realize that they can't easily vote for Trump.

The outrage could result in a backlash that would do severe damage to the Democratic party and all their candidates when angry voters came out like cockroaches to place their write-in votes.

Yeah, I'd love to to see what happens. So I'm with you cowboy, let's encourage the DEMS to take Trump off the ballot in IL and NJ, I'd really like to see what the people would do about it. Would it backfire and turn an otherwise democratic state to a republican one?

Democrats = short term thinkers. LOL

What I can't understand is why we are asking Trump at all.

The IRS has them, as it must since it is auditing them. They have been subpoenaed by the Congress, so why doesn't the IRS just send them over? Why is Trump's OK required at all?

It's not. The IRS has no discretion here.

JakeStarkey said: pete, we are talking about the legislature of Illinois, not Trump's ever vacillating positions.
It's illinois, so yeah politically it is better than 50 50 it will pass.

It will have an impact on other states, both positive and negative.

The main point is that, pete, you don't like! :)

Strange how Democrats want anyone to be able to vote, but on a ballot limited by whom they deem valid candidates.

savelibety is suggesting the Dems are practicing candidate suppression to overcome the GOP's voter suppression.

    That's interesting.

The GOP hasn't engaged in voter suppression?

The (D)'s sure do miss having Lois Lerner over at the IRS, and Sally Yates at the DOJ. Lois would have immediately released them, and Yates wouldn't have held her accountable. Trump's going to get a courts injuntion, and that's why the IRS is hesitant. This presidential exclusion clause hasn't been shot down in a 100 yrs because no ones tried using it in 100 yrs.

Nope, see you have to actually be a voter to be suppressed. Stopping people who are not legal voters to called protecting voter rights.

Either the Supreme Court will stomp this faux law like an over-ripe grape or Trump will cut off all federal funding for the state, period. Both perfectly legal. But the neatest thing about this is that leftist controlled states are PROVING to independent voters that they are indeed fascists by political nature. Such states might as well be campaigning for Trump's re-election. Sweet!

Chicago doesn't need any funding! It's the safest city in America with no gun violence thanks to their strict gun laws. It's a paradise!

I would say the vast majority of those crowing for trump’s returns have never seen more than a 10-40EZ.....if even that, and couldn’t come close to deciphering trump and all of his schedules.

I already knew that you were making **** up, my unsophisticated amigo.

See my post above. Have fun. Oh, and it helps to do some research to avoid making baseless partisan claims.

    You're welcome.

Hardly, my friend. Candidate having to toe the party line at the state level is a refreshing blow to voter surpression.

So you used partisan sources to prove your point.

    Weak, but amusing.
