The fact is, Baghdadi is dead in spite of, not because of President Bonespur.
    1. The information leading to Baghdadi's death came from the Kurds Don betrayed........burning a valuable source of intel
    2. That information was relayed to US troops on the ground in northern Syria that have been withdrawn by Donnie Chicken Hawk.
    3. The information was developed in to an actionable plan by the US intel agencies the Orange Fraud routinely belittles.
The NYT has reported the operation was rushed because of the withdrawal of US troops.

Yet we see Baby Donald claiming a victory for himself. His disgusting politicalization of a successful military operation he almost prevented because of his idiocy is an embarrassment and a disgrace.

I think Baghdadi is dead, too. But we will never know for sure due to the doubts mentioned in post 650. The betrayed Kurds provided the informant and the DNA proof of Baghdadi's demise. Why did they make a hero of the man who single-handedly abandoned them? All I am suggesting is that maybe they didn't.

Now we have Trump betraying them again.

The Washington Post reports, "Trump has been widely accused of abandoning the Kurds by withdrawing from Syria. And now he appears to be adding insult to injury by downplaying the role they played in Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s death.

"Trump did credit the Kurds for their contribution to the Islamic State leader’s death on Sunday, but in some strangely muted ways. He even seemed to strain to emphasize what they didn’t do. To wit:"

    • He first mentioned four countries that helped — including Russia — and then added as almost an addendum, “I also want to thank the Syrian Kurds for certain support they were able to give us.”
    • Later in his address, when asked generally what role the Kurds had played, Trump said only that “they gave us some information that turned out to be helpful” but emphasized that they played “not a military role at all.”
    • And finally, when he was asked whether the United States had relied upon “foreign intel,” he suggested it had not. “So, we had our own intel,” he said. “We got very little help. We didn’t need very much help.”
U.S. officials have acknowledged the importance of the information provided by the Kurdish-led Syrian Defense Forces. See posts 649 and 650.

There is something very strange about all this.

Everything Trump says or does will haunt someone at some time or another. He’s only thinking of himself and the story changes depending on who he is talking to. His supporters will just follow along because he like them, have the same set of rules they play by, which is to say, none at all. Like they did with Bush, they’ll follow him blindly until it affects them personally in their pocket book.

Bush two had avid support also. Everyone of them believed his lies about his economic package and his going to war for oil interest instead of 9/11 retaliation. He had his own clandestine relationship with dictators too.

The bottom fell out with the market and the Great Recession. There seemed to be a huge uptick in those calling themselves libertarians as they were too embarrassed to be overtly associated with the corrupted GOP. Nothing will change with Trump.

Only because he doesn’t understand the spoken word during briefings.

A key is to keep the pressure on Mitch to let him know his historical reputation is at stake. As long as he’s tethered to Trump, he needs to be reminded his Moscow Mitch label represents his distain for our own constitution.
