Being white isn't a panacea and doesn't save you from any hardship. I come from a dirt poor family in a country where other than white was a tiny minority ( I saw my first black at school during the early 70's). Being white didn't help my father get a regular job and fill my hungering stomach.

 

Why does the presence of white people make it difficult for non-whites?
Should i apologize every time i see a minority? Damn that would be tiring and confusing for all involved.

I think a culture can be viewed in and of itself as a societal construct and I think it would be more useful to describe culture as a collection of societal constructs.

Much like a car can be viewed as a manufactured good composed of individual manufactured goods.

With this understanding a single social construct, such as race, can be assessed and its effects readily calculated and seen to be good or bad for the culture as a whole, much as a particular transmission system or engine can be for a specific model of car.

This is all completely true, and is the biggest danger of any understanding that is largely based on large scale statistical analysis and generalization. People =/= statistics.

 

Again I disagree.. They most certainly work with corrupt law enforcement and public official that "For a price" turn a blind eye and make available free reign to produce and transport narcotics and cash to and from the border.. I suppose there is simply a different view of the entire Cartel syndicate from what you have and I have is all..

 

I am torn. On one hand I think that eliminating the nasty cartels that have inflicted our southern friends is in our national interest, and frankly would feel really good to see some of these slimo's get theirs. On the other I understand that the cartels power base comes from the fact that a lot of recreational drugs are illegal. It would undoubtly be easier to "legalize it" and then spend a fraction of the cost dealing with the negative repercussions of that.

 

Who's going to stop us? NATO is watching demonstrators get killed in China, sat on their hands when Russia annexed Crimea, you think there going to step up to the GOAT on our home turf? Plus there is a very real possibility of Mexicans being ok with it if were surgical.
