I think the millions exterminated would be lot more insulted if they could see that an incipient Hitler is being defended in their name.

Trump isn't being as bad as the Nazis became YET. Neither was Hitler himself at this point in his career. If you make an actual comparison Trump's not doing badly at being Hitler at all. There are differences, but the present day US is not a recently vanquished nation in a world gripped by the worst Depression in history either.

Hitler hadn't done anything worse than Trump by by 1936, two years into his Chancellorship?

The Nuremberg Laws were passed in 1935. They were very bad but the real persecutions didn't begin until after Kristallnacht in November of 1938. What Trump is doing now with the mass deportations is very similar to that. Again, it is not the same but we are not the same nation that Germany was back then either.

Not if that "answer" is any indication of how well developed Trump's debating skills are.

Having a border =/= making Nazi Germany look tame.

Again, Trump's policies don"t look that much like Hitler's YET and yes, they may never, but they are well on their way and that should definitely be viewed with no little trepidation. There is just so VERY much that is wrong with Trump's immigration policies and they are so deeply derived from such a blatantly ethnicist viewpoint that Nazi comparisons are cried out for rather than strained

Should we take soap away from Americans on welfare and give it to the illegal aliens?

Better than having to defecate on the streets of LA or San Francisco. Thanks to their overuse of public assistance, particularly fed housing, the more of them we let in, the more the number of homeless Americans will increase.

I learn something new every time I listen to a liberal obstructionist activist judge especially on the 9th Court.

Sleep is a constitutional right even though I can't find where it says that in the Constitution.

When did jails start giving out toothbrushes ?

Every professional criminal knows that you always carry a toothbrush with you when you face a judge on sentencing day.

    The judges never mentioned underwear.

The vast majority of wannabe illegal aliens and asylum wannabe illegal aliens rarely if ever carry a change of underwear with them in their backpacks.

Sleep and toothbrushes are constitutional rights.

    Underwear are not constitutional rights.

Mexico is catching up with the rest of the civilized world.

Mexican ninos are being taught what a toothbrush is and even how to use it.

Before Hitler was a genocidal killer...
    before he was Fuhrer...
before he was an oppressive, murderous Chancellor...
before he was the initiator of violent undemocratic coups against his government...
before he was a National Socialist...
before he was just someone on the right...
before he was just a soldier...
before he was just a bad painter...
    he was a child.

Should we compare children to Hitler?
    Bad painters?
    Soldiers?

Why not? Why does the buck stop at being right wing instead of being a National Socialist or the initiator of violent undemocratic coups?

Surely you at least have to argue your way from right wing to genocidal killer. It's not hard to argue we should be worried about dictators becoming genocidal murderers, it's a harder task to argue we should be worried about children, bad painters, soldiers, or those on the right wing.

Has Trump made any statements indicating he wants policy in any way comparable to the Night of Long Knives' extrajudicial killings of 1000 opponents in 1934? Or the prohibition of other political parties in 1933? Or the forced unemployment of all Jews in 1933? Or Aktion T4 in 1939? Or the Holocaust during the war?

Better yet, has he done any of this? He's at 1935 at the same point in Hitler's reign, surely he had better do... you know... any of this. Fairly shortly.

Without some explanation of how you get from people on the center right like Trump to Hitler this post is just a slippery slope fallacy.

I'd be happy to hear what you're opposed to in Trump's immigration policy, heck we'd probably agree on a lot - I am not saying he has great foreign policy, just that he is such a far cry from what Hitler was at any point down through to 1923 and beyond, that the comparison makes no sense whatsoever.

All Trump has to say is you a are for illegal aliens, you will repeal the muslim ban, you will bring back T.P.P. Biden is done for and also he's part of the establishment in case you don't know americans are sick of the tired establishment. Even Michael Moore said Trump is likely to win reelection, because Biden will just not bring out the excitement.

Trump's treatment of Steve Bannon (and it couldn't have have happened to a nicer guy, being one of the very few things I actually agreed with Trump on) still very much resembled the Night of the Long Knives indeed. Nobody was killed that is true; but Bannon, it can be argued, was discredited to the point he was actually exiled

Trump has put on the first ban against some members of one certain religion coming here ( not all, but definitely some, and without rhyme or reason as to who is permitted in that religion) that I can ever remember.

He has excoriated the Democrats, and large segments of his own party who are non-Trumpers, as members of an ill-defined "Deep State" and implied that they, along with the press, are "enemies of the country". This seems a clear preparation to criminalizing his opposition.

Most of my problem with Trump comes from how clearly he has followed a sort of generic dictator's playbook. Hitler is only the best known, and in many ways not the best, exemplar of this. Mussolini (whom Trump is said to admire) might be a better example and the classic caudillos of Latin America might be best of all. Trump is very much a "man on horseback" and "only he (I) can fix the system" ( which I truly STILL can't believe he ACTUALLY SAID, even though I heard it myself.)

I think the best way to solve the illegal immigration problem is to change the immigration laws. Laws are functional things and should change with the circumstances they wish to promote. If laws are being massively disobeyed we should at least examine the idea that the law may need to be less restrictive rather than endanger our own freedom by seeking to make it more draconian. (An argument that is dear to the hearts of most of our "2nd Amendment types", is it not?)

I don't agree with most conservatives that the average American is more bigoted than afraid of bankruptcy or disease. Also, Trump has made us long for boring.
