    Communication isn't evidence of conspiracy.

I agree we had zero business in Iraq, but the inspectors were stalled @ every turn

    Fail.

There would still be a Cold War if it wasn't for diplomacy.

The extremist alt right Trump warhawks will destroy the Iranian diplomacy because they need a reason to launch yet another ME war.

No there wouldn't. The USSR collapsed under the weight of its own military spending.

But yes, if we attack Iran, without provocation, we're nuts.

Right, but covering up the communication is evidence of hiding something plus Flynn seeking immunity for his Russian communications is evidence of having done something illegal and Trump lifting sanctions on Russia without getting anything in return is evidence of something else being traded behind the scenes.

Only fail here is to ignore the 800 pound gorilla in the room.

Entirely different concepts being conflated. St Reagan diplomatically ended the Cold War. The subsequent failure of the USSR had nothing to do with Glastnost.
Agreed, but there are extremist alt right nuts in the Whitehouse who want that to happen.

Flynn's a twit. He knew he'd get caught with his hands sphincter deep in the cookie jar, & lied.

Obama telling a Russian on a hot mic, that " After the election, I can be more flexible" is more a sign of conspiracy.

Reagan didn't win the cold war. The idea that his reckless military spending had anything to do with it is absurd. We now know that the Soviets were not spending nearly what they claimed they were nor had nearly what they claimed to have. They could have simply upped the lie to match Reagan's actual spending that set the tone for deficit spending on a massive scale and they wouldn't have to spend a dime to do it. Lech Walesa and the Pope had far more impact while Reagan played the role of rabid dog/cheerleader.

The UN inspectors did their job in Iraq. They said there was nothing there not accounted for. Iraq groused a lot and put up a front to keep their people happy but in the end the UN inspectors were able to account for everything including the "discoveries" made after the invasion of materials so unstable they couldn't be moved and were buried in cement. Those later "discoveries" would be like my going to Egypt and holding a press conference announcing that I had discovered Tut's tomb. It's on a map, just like all those later "discoveries" were.

This is what having a president unable to keep to facts and speak coherently, people start believing the lies and become incoherent themselves.

No anyone with common sense would make that assumption.
Obama paid Iran for an agreement which cannot be verified or enforced. (fail)

This is a popular right wing claim, not supported by any kind of evidence.

Not everyone is inclined to nuke us. The world should be discussing ways to reduce the amount of nuclear weapons and not allowing other countries to gain them especially mentally unstable dictators. Pacification is not reasonable if someone is trying to hurt you. Would you really turn the other cheek if someone hit you in the face or hit your wife or child?

When has common sense ever been present in an election? Why is the left filled with such hatred for the right?

Actually, that is only partially true.

Yes, the American decision to spend the Russians into the ground was a major factor. However the Amerocentric view that many of us have tends to discount the fact that the Russians had something to do with it, too.

But the really big factor that few Americans even realize, much less understand, was the collapse of the OPEC cartel in 1986. As long as demand was strong, the OPEC cartel could set a price for the world market (which they had the dominant share) and enforce it. But the combination of the global recession, and energy conservation laws enacted in the US in the 1970's spelled doom to that arrangement.

In 1973, the average car sold in the US got about 13 miles on a gallon of gas. By 1986, that figure nearly doubled. The result was that even though the size of the American auto fleet continued to grow, gasoline consumption did not, which helped to create an oil glut. OPEC member nations like Nigeria, Kuwait and Iraq cheated on their production goals in order to get more revenue.

In the spring of 1986, Saudi Arabia announced that it would no longer cut production to prop up the price. With the price of oil floating, prices went down by 2/3 within a matter of months.

This had two lasting effects. It ignited an economic boom, one which covered up the fact that Reagan's economic policies had not been working up till that point.

The other effect is that it devalued and destroyed Russia's primary source of hard cash.

Russia was deeply in debt, and had been importing wheat for over a decade, paying for it in hard currency. The Soviet economy collapsed and the Soviet Union went with it.

It should be noted that Gorbachev played a major role as well. Had Yuri Andropov lived, the history of the 1980's would have been very different.

Good question. Common sense would have dictated that a man like Donald Trump is unfit for any kind of public office.

Do you really think that if he wanted to sneak them out he would want to advertise that. When we take over 2 weeks to attack after telling us in this country that we are going to do you think Saddam just sat on his hands waiting?

By that measure neither you nor I are fit for public office. Fortunately the requirements for office does not require one to be a politician first.

    Requirements for becoming president
The Constitution gives three eligibility requirements to be president: one must be 35 years of age, a resident "within the United States" for 14 years, and a "natural born Citizen," a term not defined in the Constitution.

Maybe as far as we know but true verification would be difficult if not impossible.

Why are some folks so deluded by an imaginary "left" that festers in their noggins?

It is deranged to label the majority of Americans "the left" and rail about "hate" because most didn't vote for the p-grabbing Messiah, and most Americans disapprove of his job performance. They think he stinks, but that does not equate with hatred.

    Thursday, April 27

    Job Approval - Gallup - Approve 40%, Disapprove 55% - Disapprove +15

    Job Approval - Rasmussen Reports - Approve 45%, Disapprove 55% - Disapprove +10

It is not as if you had hysterical folks screeching, "Lock him up! Lock him up!" before he has even been indicted for anything. It's possible he may not be.

Disgruntled trumpery fans are wee wee'd up by their ideological media entertainers.

They would do well to compose themselves with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.

What about all the hatred from the protests and riots against anyone who supported Trump or merely expressed a different viewpoint. Where were all the riots and protests from the right when Obama first won the election. It does not matter if you don't like the president, I just don't understand all the hatred I see in the news everyday. If Trump actually does something worthy of impeachment I can understand proceeding with the process but expecting his removal just because you didn't vote for him or just don't like him is not a valid reason to remove him.
