Simple population size. The nation of Australia has a population of approximately twenty five million. The united states has a population of approximately three hundred and twenty five million. The united states has thirteen times more people than the nation of Australia to contend with.
There is no firearms effect to be isolated and controlled for. How many times must this fact be pointed out to yourself and others before it is finally understood?
That is not an urban/rural breakdown, that's a national map with silly colors that don't really represent anything of value. The city of Chicago had more murders than half of those red states combined. Pretending that the actual numbers are somehow less relevant than 'rates per' is ridiculous...
There is no so-called "firearms effect" to be isolated and controlled for. It is nothing more than an excuse constructed by those claiming to be experts in the field of psychology, to provide an easy to cite talking point to excuse bad behavior, and blame it on an outside source rather than state that any individual is capable of great violence if they so choose. It is nothing more than another facet of the notion that no one is responsible for their own bad behavior, and that everyone is a victim of some sort or another.
Its an irrelevant stat because lower population states feel the effects of each murder at a higher degree than high population states. Even so, it ignores the urban/rural disparity, which was the point I made originally. The whole point is liberal urban shitholes are more dangerous than anywhere else in America, as the vast majority of murders in America happen there. Additionally that map is completely disingenuous because it counts 'gun deaths' not just murders. More gun grabber nonsense, worse because it came from a foreign interloper...
As if liberal politics plays a part....hilarious. No major city is run by the GOP because no one wants them. LOL. They do run some states though. If fact the top states with the highest gun deaths are all gop run.
major cities have lots of people dependent on the public teat. cities attract such people and such people vote for Democrats. That's a fact. You constantly confuse gun deaths with criminal homicides. GOP states tend to have 1) more white males 2) more retirees 3) more active duty and veterans those groups have higher rates of suicides than the people who are more heavily represented in the blue states. Blue states or areas have more 1) children living in single parent homes 2) black males 3) HS drop outs and those groups have far higher rates of violent crime thus red states have more suicides, blue states or cities have more violent homicides your desired gun control laws don't stop either
blue states have the most gun crimes yet the most gun laws. this proves gun control is not designed to prevent crime but to harass honest gun owners. its worthless to mix suicides with homicides since the proper attempts to reduce these two causes are completely different.
FACT: The most gun deaths per capita happen in gun law lax states. Even just for homicides the top three states are gun law lax gop states
the top six counties for gun homicides are all dem run. Cook County, LA County, Baltimore, DC, East St Louis have more gun shot murders than most of the red states combined
I wonder how many victims of abortion there are because a woman couldn't fend off her rapist. Just a little something else to consider that's never factored into the statistics...
I heard there were 80,000 people who died from the flu last Winter. https://www.statnews.com/2018/09/26/cdc-us-flu-deaths-winter/
As I said, I know you think there is an academic conspiracy. Grown up comment tends to disagree with you mind you...
Point out the areas with the most murders in those states. We are talking murders, not generic gun deaths. I see you trying to move the goal posts. Such intellectual dishonesty is pathetic...
Interesting. So homicide rates are higher in Democrat-controlled counties but also higher in Republican-controlled states. I did notice a consistent pattern though. When looking at statistics for all the states in the northern half of the country, the homicide rates appear to be much lower, with the notable exception of Illinois and Michigan which contain Chicago and Detroit.
