U.S. Should Face up to 'Shameful Past' With Tribal Nations, VP Harris Says

Could the VP just shut up already.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris said on Tuesday "explorers who first landed on U.S. shores had "ushered in a wave of devastation for tribal nations, perpetrating violence, stealing land and spreading disease."

They also started the world's greatest country with more wealth and more personal freedom in history of the world. Why in god's name would you even say that on Columbus day other than to flame hate for the US? To say this administration is a disaster is an understatement.

She isn't wrong but not like we can change the past.

 

Yes . . . acknowledging history that you don't like, even though it is true, must be a "disaster." Better to play make believe.

It's not shameful. It's just what happens when a more powerful society confronts a weaker one. No country in the world today is occupied or governed by its original population.

Native Americans already receive way more welfare than the average citizen including many benefits because they are native Americans. That is possibly a strong incentive that is keeping many of them from supporting themselves and achieving economically. Apparently our VP doesn't think that's enough and wants more welfare. They were killing each other and committing many atrocities before Europeans arrived on these shores.

 

They already get free food, free housing, free medical, and own almost every smoke shop and casino in the country. What more does she want?

 

Did she mention that after the arrival of the white man that Indians eventually stopped acting like barbarians to each other and enslaving them?

Did Harris say which country or culture should have come here instead of us?

 

Other than conservative white men, can you name anyone the left doesn’t pander to by calling them victims.

Not all of the tribes were violent. Columbus bragged about enslaving a peaceful tribe that had helped save his ship and his crew and had welcomed him with open arms. Our Founding Fathers were partially inspired by the Iroquois when planning their new government. The whole "all Native Americans were violent barbarians" brain vomit is part of why we need more historical education, despite you and others demanding less.

 

I guess the only equitable solution is to send Africans back to Africa, Asians back to Asia and Europeans back to Europe. Then everybody should be happy.

Given Kamalas family's shameful past involved in the slave trade, I propose stripping her entire family's wealth and distributing it to needy black families. Tired of her virtue signaling with no virtuous actions. Lead by example Kamala.

 

With the immigrant crisis at our Southern border, COVID polarizing our society and our folly in Afghanistan still unresolved, doesn't this cackling jackal have something better to do than peddle guilt to a disease weary nation?

I love that these morons actually think that tribal nations were peacefully living in harmony before illegal aliens crossed the ocean. It's a complete fallacy. I feel bad that they lost their land, but just like every other primitive society, they were ****ing savages. There were attacks on peaceful neighbors, cannibalism and human sacrifice just like we saw early viking societies. Some tribes in America were distinguished by other tribes for their war-like nature and cannibalism. You want documentation? Well there wasn't a lot, but you can go look over Aztec and Inca paintings to examine some of those tribal customs. The natives were ten thousand years behind Europe both societally and technologically, and they got squashed just like every other nation that was at a disadvantage in Europe, Asia, and Africa. But I actually do think Native Americans should receive special advantages due to their Native status. I do. I just don't get the point of Kamala's racist rant about white people. It was the 1400s.

Instead of intentionally going on racist diatribes for no apparent reason, why doesn't she help handle the border crises or the economic crises.

I'm being honest history. But that's college level academics. I don't know why guys are so violently promoting these negative narratives about European Explorers while pretending every Native American is Pochahontas. I'm fine with going into the negative aspects of European Exploration in school if we can also have real conversations about the atrocities committed by Native American and African tribes that pervaded their regions for tens of thousands of years until Europeans did their horrible **** and then socially advanced society to where it is today.

 

That's exactly how my education worked.

 

I got no problem with education working that way. I'm sick of the victimization. I've dealt with liberal Jews of the same ilk in NJ that blame anti-semitism on every mistreatment and slight by others. It's a F-ing breeding ground for the mentally ill wackos and bullies. They're the yentas that find away to accidentally lock themselves in their condo, and then go to condominium meeting to claim that the association is at fault cause the locking mechanism isn't intuitive. And then there was the fat motorized wheel chair lady that's pissed off cause people walk around her when she's going slow. Perpetual victims of God and society's cruel injustice.

 

This myth that the vicious white man just steam rolled the natives is utterly false. Go back and look at the Indian Wars. Look at the casualties on both sides. All the settlers that were scalped, raped, and murdered. The image of the peaceful nomadic Indian is a fantasy.

 

Columbus died 600 years ago and you still can’t let go.

Today a people of a certain religion have an estimated 40 people enslaved and the left says nothing because Muslims are off limits. Human trafficking and the abuse of women south of our border is rampant and the left says nothing. The left is completely ignoring the here and now while fixated on something that happened a long time ago, that we can’t change and it eventually benefited tremendously the people Harris claims are victims.
