Each element has various isotopes, meaning that they come with different numbers of neutrons but the same number of protons. The ratio of these isotopes depends on the sun that created them. Naturally occurring elements on earth always have known specific ratios of isotopes. If we find a material with different isotopic ratios than elements on earth, then we know it didn't come from earth. It was produced in a different sun than the materials found here.

I assume you meant the nucleus. We can do many things in a lab that couldn't be done at an industrial scale; at least not with human technology. We can separate isotopes, which is what centrifuges do in the production of nuclear materials for reactors and weapons. But that is very expensive and not practical for most applications. We do not have the ability to modify isotopic ratios in production materials.

When I first started learning about UFOs [randomly assigned the subject for a college English paper], I kept thinking, if half this stuff were true, EVERYONE would know about it. It would be the story of the century. I spent the next 20 years researching and learning that most high-value reports are true. And plenty of people know about it. It is simply too big for most people to take seriously unless they are willing to put in the time and effort to learn the facts. There was stuff I saw floating around on the internet that I didn't believe for a second, like the Iran 1976 report. NO WAY could that be true. It was surely a hoax. Then I found the documents at the National Security Agency myself. As more and more documents were declassified through the freedom of information act, it soon became obvious that most of this stuff really happened.

I worked with Fred's brother. We all took a great interest in the case. These tapes were sent to NASA. They were returned with the comment, "We have no natural explanation for what happened." I understand that Fred's plane was observed from Cape Patterson (?) by two people. Above the plane orbited the UFO.

Fred's brother worked at General Motors Holden. From the first time I heard this story I was 'convinced' it had to be 'aliens' Ha ha. I suggested that nothing will come back from the ocean - no oil slick, life jacket, foot, wreckage, nothing. And if that happens then that's further evidence that 'something got him.' The story just had that feel about it. I say to people, 'Do you believe someone could be abducted by aliens"? And I hope they say 'No.' But I can say I think I know someone who's brother was 'abducted by aliens.' And it has a grainy truth to it.
I always assumed that no matter what happened, he ended up in the ocean. If you think he was abducted, do you think he could still be alive?

You know, we are right to poke fun of people when they talk about weird encounters like Big Foot, alien abductions, Loch Ness monsters and such. But you need to keep an open mind - some of these things could be real, and if not, like the Nessie, there could be other valid explanations for why people actually saw something.

I disagree. There is more than enough anecdotal evidence to justify giving people the benefit of the doubt. A person need not "believe" but at least allow that a person making a claim could be completely sincere. And they may even be right. It depends on the story and it depends on the person. Cynics dismissed Fred's disappearance because he had reported seeing a UFO before. Well guess what, UFOs often appear in clusters called "flaps". The idea that he saw one before encountering one is entirely believable. Dismissing his disappearance and apparent death because he once reported a UFO, is absurd. That said, the best and most interesting cases involve multiple witness, photographic or video evidence, RADAR tracks, trace evidence... Rarely does one person's story get any attention. But the Valentich case is especially compelling given the audio recordings and that he was never seen again. People don't normally die for the sake of a hoax.
He provided ONE alternative explanation for ONE incident. To claim this as proof of modern sightings being BS is not only false, it is a stupid thing to say. I suggest reading some books on logic. Explain the 2 pilots who saw a "tic tac" at water level, which then jumped up right in front of them, visually, at close range, and then disappeared and suddenly appeared 60 miles away.
