You don't remember? Your last post to me in this thread: "Oh yeah everybody's dancing in the streets for $6 gas and 40% inflation."

So, it doesn't matter if you totally exaggerate real numbers to make your fear-mongering point? Alternative facts, right? That's what we have come to in these debates. This is as dishonest as claiming that gas prices have doubled since Trump, using the cherry-picked low point of $2 during the height of the pandemic lockdowns, but leaving out the fact that gas prices were much higher than that before the pandemic.

Oh, btw, what does the fact that I was born in Germany have to do with it? Seems like a poor attempt of deflection when you can't defend your own posts. Plus, throw in a dose of xenophobia.

    no

The posts state Democrat policies, not democratic. One is harmful and done by the Democrat party. The other is a process where voting by the people is performed. Please use the correct terms

Oh thanks for the quote. Yeah clearly I was talking about the effects of gas/oil on inflation pressure.

I mean I didn't spoon feed it to you, and it does assume some knowledge of the topic when talking about that 40% driver of oil and gas ACROSS ALL AREAS OF THE ECONOMY.

I've spoken a great number of times here about how fuel prices is affecting all areas of the ridiculous historical inflation we are experiencing. If you can't grasp that basic concept then that's your problem.

Would you like me to break it down kindergarten style more for you when I post? I'm so sorry.

I didn't exaggerate ****. Gas prices have hit prices higher than signs in apocalyptic movies under this admin.

The only reason gas prices have fluctuated recently is because they are raping the strategic oil reserves.

I brought up Germany because they're at the center of of what going woke and going broke looks like when you try to push green energy so hard you fall on your face. Woke nonsense led Germany, and by extension all of Europe, to RECORD energy prices.....all because they wanted to pat themselves on the back about how awesome they were. Which, of course, led to massively funding the Russian war effort.

But sure, I'm xenophobic of cultures we came from. LoL. Talk about reaching for an insult.

"40% driver of oil and gas ACROSS ALL AREAS OF THE ECONOMY." Whoever can make sense of this, I can't

With regard to oil prices. that's what I posted in another thread:

The WTI oil price is $78.6 today. It reached $74 in October 2018.

Wow, that's a whole whopping 1.05 times higher. The agony... Looks like the Ukraine war induced spike in oil price is over for now. Watch for prices at the pump also coming down again after the Thanksgiving driving spree.

But, keep peddling the daily gloom and doom with exaggerated numbers, you only hurt your own credibility.

What about the strategic reserves. Could that an effect on the current price? You got to remember, the DNC are beyond corrupt and blatantly manipulate numbers because they care no more about who challenges it ;)

Oh well if you don't understand it, then let me help you out.

I mean I linked an earlier article from Vox of all places for you. Maybe you should have read it.

Oil and gas, i.e energy, is the primary driver for wealth and prosperity. This is why China does whatever it needs to do in order to produce energy, even if that means putting a coal plant every 10 feet. (Just so we're clear, I don't literally mean every 10 feet, just in case you try to start a response about how China doesn't actually have a coal plant every 10 feet).

That reduction in energy supply in the US, which drives oil and gas to be more expensive, drives 40% of ALL inflationary responses....

So basically 40% of inflation is due to the higher cost of energy.

Whatever the inflation rate is for a particular product or service....40% of that is due entirely to the increased energy costs.

I just had to go back and address this gem of ignorance on your part. The EO that Biden signed did not close down the pipeline. A President can't do that but what he did was revoke their permit. The company could fight that, that had before, but decided it was not worth the cost. The company shut down the pipeline.

    Ohhhhh right.

"We didn't close you down, we just said you can't do it. You could have sued us with our unlimited resources though."

Thanks for that piece of brilliant prose.

So, if you meant that rising energy cost contributes 40% to inflation, then say it. Instead, you say "40% inflation", which means something totally different. Remember, people on here aren't mind readers.

Uh oh, the reserve is gone? That must be news.

Oh, btw, roughly 150 million barrels removed from the reserve in 2022 amounts to two days of worldwide oil production. The total reserve, when at its peak, amounted to 10 days of worldwide oil production. Wow, that would save us in a time of real crisis - not. The drawdown also must have affected worldwide oil price a lot -- not. Maybe look at the math first.

It's not my fault you don't understand how oil drives 40% of inflation.

If you want to blame me for your ignorance of what you should already know, go ahead. I don't care.

Sure. The strategic reserve is unimportant. You go with that genius idea. I don't have the time or patience to teach you what you should already know.

I so enjoy it that facts bother you.
Like I said, they fought the exact same thing a number of times but the point is Biden didn't shut it down.

2,700 people are now without jobs. 2,700 people lost their benefits. And what do we get from you? We get defense of the Democrat party.

    2,700 folks are without income

We don't understand that because it's not true
No, I don't blame you for your unfounded belief that we are ignorant. To think that gives you comfort. We get it. We also know you're wrong....as usual so I'm glad you don't care.
    No one said that
Bet that felt good saying that
But we are trying to teach you.

I understand that. What I don't understand is this reasoning that it's Democrat policies that are the cause of it which you pointed to in the OP by somehow connecting the dots of the fictional "war on fossil fuels" being the cause of a furniture company laying off thousands.

    Really?
    "What strategic reserve?"
    "Good point"
Go ahead and say something and deny that was the point. Sad and dishonest
