Shouldn't today's society begin to consider forming a United Government for the world. It would be easier to resolve or work on issues such as starvation and war, even defending earth againast an alien invasion.. Doesn't it just make sense to do this?

Nope. Too much chance of tyranny. The more power exists away from the people, the less liberty is possible. That is the problem with the U.S. today. Too much power is in Washington, away from the people.

Yeah, defending the world again alien invasion is high on my list of worries. I suppose the world government would be as wonderful as the United Nations. Totally corrupt. Totally illogical. Hey, let's have Saudi Arabia on the Women's Rights committee and Cuba on the Human Rights group.

No, it doesn't make sense. What makes sense is smaller, more local government. Only liberals can say that something that fails will succeed if we only make it much bigger and more expensive.
