My last post should have already made it clear that it is just Obama who wants the UK to be a closer part of the EU, not "America" ! In fact the last American president warned the UK to not become closer to the EU. Seems to be yet another attempt by our media to trick us into becoming further tangled into the mess that is the EU. That way, when problems inevitably arrise, the "only solution" will be to surrender even more of our sovereignty, as we have already seen with the this euro crisis.
I genuinely believe that if you interviewed Americans on the street and asked them 'Should Europe become united with the UK as a constituent part' most of them would say 'that would be so cool!!' or at least 'I don't know, it's their decision, I'm not a European'. Obama may desire this but ultimately, as far as his America is concerned, I'm sure they pretty much don't care what the UK does across the ocean. I think that if they knew Obama says it's good to happen they will say too because look, they have re-elected him and seem very happy with him as opposed to the Romney alternative.
