True, but should we not study the basis for the shootings? The situation might be different. There are many possibilities for the final answer but without actually studying these stats we can't just say "oh he was shot because he is black" without any proof of such.

I mean is there a possibility shootings have a clear bias? Of course, as goes life as people are obviously biased beings . But to try and paint that as the reason every single damned time is absolutely ridiculous.

And as far as murder statistics, maybe they should be a tad more worried about what truly is killing blacks on an hourly and daily basis. If Black Lives really mattered they wouldn't wait to cause a (*)(*)(*)(*) storm until it fit their false narrative of whitey killing blacks or trying to say cop killings are an epidemic when it is not even close to that. So much hypocrisy and so much crap out of control.

    This (*)(*)(*)(*) is getting old.

Police: Trump Ordered Us To Remove Peaceful Black Students From His Rally

    By Omar Rivero
    Posted on March 04 2016

Donald Trump rallies have lost their mystique. We have come to know what to expect – audience-baiting hatred, xenophobia, racism, and violence toward any minority, especially those of color who choose to attend his rallies. We cannot ignore the stark reality that a man seeking to be president of the United States foments hatred and violence toward black Americans at rallies held across the country. True to form, this week Trump had a group of black college students, who say they were standing silently at the top of the bleachers planning a silent protest, removed from his campaign rally in Georgia.

Talking Points Memo reports that “about 30 students had planned to sit in silent protest during the rally on the Valdosta State University campus, but police said they were directed to remove them at the specific request of a Trump staffer.” There was initially some confusion as to who initiated the students’ removal, as they claimed federal agents led them out of the building. However, the Secret Service denies being involved. Captain Stryde Jones of the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office told MSNBC that “a member of the [Trump] event staff approached a member of our agency and requested that the group be asked to leave.” Jones’s statement was confirmed by Valdosta Police Chief Brian Childress, who says he personally spoke with Trump staff members and law enforcement officers helping with security, and it was Trump’s staff who initiated the action. “I spoke to a Trump staffer, whose name I do not have, she told us that they needed to leave. Not only did I talk to a Trump staffer, so did the University police, and we were told over the radio by the Sheriff’s office that Trump staff wanted them out.”

Cue the spin doctors. Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said: “the campaign had no knowledge of the incident until after reading these false reports.” Trump himself, took a slightly different tack – he did not deny the incident. “I had nothing to do with it!” he said. So it appears these students were removed at the behest of the Trump campaign – for allegedly “shouting profanity” – which the campaign denies any knowledge of, and for which Donald Trump denies any involvement.

In any case, Trump staff said “the F-bomb is one word that was used. You can’t be in there using profanity. That violates Georgia law.” This coming from a presidential candidate who builds his campaign rallies upon the belief systems of white supremacist groups. And who, during a recent CNN interview, refused to disavow former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke. He pinned his reluctance to disavow Duke on CNN on “a bad earpiece…I could hardly hear what he's saying.” Trump’s display of concern for alleged profanity stands in stark contrast to his own comments last night, witnessed during a nationally televised presidential debate, in which he defended his penis size. This is the same man who bragged about his coveted endorsement from Vladimir Putin, the world’s worst strongman, and a fascist.

The Republican front-runner for president enjoys the support of a broad coalition of racists, from Duke to Paul LePage, Maine governor. Trump cares nothing about the First Amendment to the Constitution, which gives people the right to attend his rallies even if they don’t agree with him. His views are inexorably entwined with a fascist authoritarian view of the world. This is the man who would be our next president.

The video in your link shows the man in the green hat shoving her and trying to grab the papers out of her hand. Until someone produces video from before the shoving started, I guess we won't really know.

I agree that we should be studying every incident where police kill suspects to learn what went wrong, especially when the suspect was unarmed. We could start by actually counting how many times it happens, something we don't do today. Equipping police with body cameras would also go a long way in providing the objective evidence we need to determine what really happened.

People protest when things are not going the way they like, and as tragic and prevalent as black criminals killing other blacks is, it has been getting better for over a decade. Police killings on the other hand appear to be increasing and are obviously disproportionately affecting one race in particular.

And 14% of Republicans would go the other way.

Of course, this is from an online poll where they only show Trump's first campaign ad. So it hardly seems reliable...

Well, there's a happy ending, she made it through that lynching and the police are investigating a few people for their atrocious actions.

    http://www.nydailynews.com/news/nat...d-donald-trump-rally-antics-article-1.2552048

On Wednesday afternoon, the United States Marine Corps quietly decided to discharge a young man named Joseph Pryor. Listed as a "future Marine" on his Facebook page, he had enlisted in 2015, but was currently in their delayed entry program.

After publicly bragging on Facebook about his role in the harassment and assault of a young black woman, Shiya Nwanguma, at a Donald Trump rally, and a viral image of him yelling at her that eerily resembled similar photos of African-Americans harassed during the civil rights movement, Captain Kevin Hoffman, deputy judge advocate of the United States Marine Corps, informed the Daily News that "Mr. Pryor was discharged from the delayed entry program."

That is good news particularly if some of the obvious assaults are prosecuted. Those particularly violent Trump fans obviously have mental disorders and should be locked up for their own safety as well as the safety of others.

She has the right to be there. She does not have the right to disturb the peace.

It just doesn't get any more simple than that. Why is it so damned hard to understand?

    Lynching????

    - - - Updated - - -

So they showed voters Trump's campaign ad and then asked some questions, apparently. It's really not clear how it worked, and there isn't much data available on the site. The questions are referred to obliquely. There are only isolated bits of data. What's more, the survey was conducted online, which we've discussed before.

Its nothing. Why even post such utter nonsense?

Poor word choice. I guess mobbing would be better in this case of Trump fans hurling racial epithets and physically assaulting her. She probably only had a few bruises.

Should everyone on the Right distance themselves from this guy:

    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...ester-says-he-s-all-about-being-anti-war.html

BULLY OF THE WEEK03.05.16 7:21 AM ET
White Nationalist Who Pushed Black Protester Says He's All About Being Anti-War
Countless Americans were horrified when they saw a black female protester getting roughed up at a Trump rally. Matthew Heimbach, one of those who did the roughing up, says he’s really just focused on being anti-war.
NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — The annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the premier national gathering for right-leaning activists and Republican politicians, has had its share of problems with white nationalists before. This year, one such group says it and its leader intend to visit the conference — this time to protest neocons who want to bomb Iran.
    Or something.
During a Donald Trump rally in Louisville, Kentucky, on Super Tuesday, a young African-American protester named Shiya Nwanguma was caught on camera getting shoved around and booted from the rally by attendees and Trump supporters. One of the audience members — who yelled at the Black Lives Matter protester that she was “leftist scum” — was later identified as Matthew Heimbach, chairman of the white-nationalist Traditionalist Worker Party fighting for a “future free from economic exploitation, federal tyranny, and anti-Christian degeneracy.”
(“White nationalist” is a term members of these organizations will ask you to call them, particularly if you accuse them of being white supremacists.)

Heimbach subsequently blogged about the incident in which Nwanguma was “roughed up,” and that he was “helping the crowd drive out one of the women who had been pushing, shoving, barking, and screaming at the attendees.”

The young white nationalist gained national media attention in 2013 as the 22-(*)year-old founder of the Towson White Student Union, which aimed to stop the “genocide against the European people.” In 2014, the Southern Poverty Law Center dubbed him “The Little Führer” who had “plunged into full-fledged neo-Nazism.”
“I’ve always been put off by skinheads and neo-Nazis and the Klan because they don’t advocate a positive message,” Heimbach told The Daily Beast during a ride-along with his Towson “white patrol” in 2013. “They don’t advocate any solutions, really, but they also advocate hatred. I’m allowed to love my people.”
And this year wouldn’t be his first time at CPAC. In March 2013, Heimbach crashed a CPAC event on racial tolerance when he arrived, wearing a Confederate flag, to protest representing “disenfranchised” white citizens.
For CPAC 2016, Heimbach and his cohorts are planning on crashing the party, again.
“Several of us will be there but not necessarily as a party function,” a Traditionalist Worker spokesperson emailed The Daily Beast. “Matthew will likely attend. More than likely we will be there to protest the [GOP’s] desire to start a war with Iran and Russia. We aren't sure of the days we'll be there but we certainly will.”
The conservative conference, which started on Wednesday, concludes Saturday evening. (Trump, who himself has found a good deal of white-nationalist fanboys, was scheduled to speak on the conference’s final day, but his campaign announced on Friday that he had pulled out of the gig.) The fledgling white-nationalist party has some time left to head to National Harbor in Maryland to see if its members can manage to disrupt yet another CPAC.
A CPAC spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

Agreed, we dont really know. But my jab at this was JGG wanting to use the link and cherry pick what he liked and disregard the rest of the story that doesn't fit his narrative. That is a pet peeve of mine when it comes to discussing politics, I absolutely despise "cherry pickers" in a debate.

But anyways yes agreed, we don't know the whole story so we really can't say what is truth either way.

Agreed that needs to be implemented is cop cams and mics on every police officer and they must remain on and made immediately available to the public. That will be protection for police and for the people and show nothing but fact so nobody can get away with a crime they are committing and cops will not be able to get away with abuse of power. In the end nobody's city has to burn based on speculation and justice will be served.

Yeah but it is still hypocritical and it does not help anything. Whites get shot too, but we don't see whites burning anything down either. It would be just as stupid as say me going outside and seeing 50 mexicans slaughtering each other and their actions causing mexican children to get caught up in the fray and getting shot or stabbed, but all the sudden here comes this one white guy into the mix and kills one person and now all the sudden I am calling for justice to be served on that man. Never mind the fact that 50 people were going on a killing spree, let me just ignore that because for some reason it is worse that that 1 white guy came in and shot a mexican.

It's highly hypocritical and flat out stupid.

    And you're not?

This is seriously what you would consider this acceptable behavior in our society?

Verbally? Okay. Also, it is the job of security to take him to the door. They didn't shove, they didn't push, they simply led him to the door. Do you see the difference.

So black people are violent, rude, city burning, threatening and people fond of creating hoaxes?

You're seriously denying that there is a white supremacy movement in the United States?

I'm surprised that you take the word of a man who also claims that "The Jews are behind Marxist Communism", and "were the ones behind WWII, and it was white nationalists who tried to stop them" but not the word of a man because he's black. Or, to put another way, I'm not surprised anymore.

But you find white supremacists to be credible? Wait, of course you do.

Actually, it's because I'm a bouncer that I know that even if someone shoves me, or screams at me, I do not get violent back. Pushing and shoving back means that I have opened myself up to an assault charge and open the establishment up to a lawsuit. As a bouncer I worked in a team of 3. My job was to always to verbally reason with the person, explain to them what was going happen if they resist, and explain their options. If the subject got violent, or abusive , one of my men who approached from behind would put him in a wrist lock, or back arm-bar. It's a move that only hurts while it's applied and physically incapacitating if need be, but is intended not to cause damage or harm. The man to the side, would apply the lock if he ran to the free side, or I would if he tried to run from me. I would then make room in the club so the incapacitating bouncer had room to escorted our friend out, and the third would protect us all from the rear. We were trained to do it this way because if we shove back, or get abusive, or violent, we could be charged with assault, and/or the bar could get sued. We knew the legal limit of what we were allowed to do, and we didn't cross that line.

The guys in the video are being charged with assault, and one of those men has already been discharged from the Marines because of his conduct.

Let's say it had, are you claiming that this is a trait of black people?

So the guys who were caught on tape were oblivious to the fact that they would be caught on tape? She was clever enough to know there was film, they were too stupid to know that? Then they fell for it didn't they?

That's a tough sell. Was it self-defense, or were they kicking her out for being a disturbance? Make up your mind. I wouldn't go with self-defense considering your white supremacist buddy kept following her.

Maybe, but the US Marine Corps seems to agree with me on what reality is. One of the other subjects in the video was booted from the Marines training program for his part in the incident. The Marines seem to agree with the rest of the world that this kind of behavior is unacceptable:

“The Marine Corps takes situations like this seriously and does not tolerate individuals being associated with this kind of incident,” said [Sgt. Andrew] Miller, who emphasized the fact that Pryor was not a Marine and had not received the Corps’ values-based training. Pryor enlisted Feb. 4 in the Motor Transportation Program and was scheduled to ship to recruit training in the near future.

“The situation and Pryor's lack of judgement are unfortunate, so in keeping with our ethos, this command decided to part ways with him,” Miller said. “This command encourages equality across the board, and actions that deviate from our values will not be tolerated.”

“It is unfortunate anytime we have to discharge someone from our DEP, but in Pryor's case, he demonstrated poor judgement in his use of social media that associates him with a racially charged altercation at a political rally,” [Sgt. Andrew] Miller said. “Actions that align with prejudice are not tolerated in the Marine Corps.”

I love the part where they say where they question his values.

So, perhaps it's time to sit back and consider that maybe it's you, and the company you keep, that is out of line with reality? Just say you'll consider that as a possibility.

Scared of a society where acts the United States Marine Corps considers "conduct unbecoming" is taken as acceptable behavior.

See, I would consider that unacceptable behavior. I find it fascinating that you continue to advocate for it.

    Yeah. Good job!

Are you forgetting black people are already demanding segregation. Safe spaces? Code for black ONLY space. As if black people have to worry about white people considering statistics prove the opposite.
