Just because you knew they were available doesn't mean the public knew they were available.
It wasn't readily available as healthcare companies weren't even purchasing them. Because they hadn't hit the market that sell them.

One can't sell a product if they aren't in the market place. At least in great quantities. One has to get into the distribution supply chain.

Or find another way to market them in mass.

 

You want to check the 171 dedicated medical research facilities ? Pick one out. Let’s see what their mask policy is. They all lying too ? Never answered the question….where are all the n95 if they are so cheap and plentiful.

Why do you think the public didn’t know? I’ve posted an article from the New York Times from early February 2021 detailing how masks were available and producers were in financial trouble.

Now, was the supply chain the problem? Was I the only person who knew how to get N95 masks? No. Retailers were intentionally withholding the supply from the public based on CDC recommendations to do so!

Do you think the CDC, Amazon, Google, etc. are all bumbling fools? Do you think this was just an oversight on the part of public health epidemiologists and what is now the worlds largest retailer outside of China? Do you think after all the whining about depleted national stockpiles of masks the CDC just forgot to let Amazon know there wasn’t a shortage? Do you think Amazon believed there was an actual shortage?

Medical research gathers evidence, which includes the consensus of MANY institutions involving thousands of medical research experts and studies…..not one pitiful net opinion.

The recommendations are under study and can be altered with newer evidence available from the hundreds of studies constantly going on.
