The democrats went full impeachment on a news report of second hand information. I don't think they care what happens to Biden if they can take down Trump since Trump's DOJ is looking into all the shenanigans that went on during 2016. They want that covered up.

The Dems don't care if Biden is sunk. They don't like him anyhow as he isn't "progressive" enough. They don't think he can beat Trump (true, Trump would tear him apart), he's embarrassing with his gaffes or whatever those are, and the other presidential candidates expect to get some of his supporters.
