It's a terrible idea. Basically adjudicating every such political case to the Supreme Court sullies the Court(for reasons that Mrtlegal explained.) What would happen, is that the Supreme Court would instantly deny every such hearing, recommending to take to State/Federal Courts, before appealing to the Supreme Court.

 

Our leftists keep coming up with this stuff. I suppose that many of them are conditioned to believe that nobody is capable of seeing through their B.S. But then that is another reason why they keep losing all the time.

 

Inb4 bipartisan acquittal of the President of the United States.

 

Good point and I agree. The process is the process and it's there for a reason, in this case so wacko house members don't rush everything to impeachment to only remove an advisory. I would've loved for the SC to force Holder's hand but in the end it should be tough on both sides to avoid what we're seeing now.

 

My take is two fold: 1) Democrats believe that Trump is a present and future danger to the country and should be removed from office before the 2020 election can be compromised, and 2) That courts could, and in all probability would, take many months to review the case and then go through an appeal case. To wit, Clinton's impeachment took three and a half years to complete, Nixon's a similar time.
