Polling is extremely manipulatable. History has demonstrated this extensively.

Thats not to say that they may not ultimately be right, in fact, I think they are...although by sheer luck rather than proper methodology.

Short term gains during a emotional time is all that is however.

Dumb response to a dumb post.

DNC is the party of no second stimulus. No wall. No enforcement of immigration laws. No police. No new trade deals. No tax breaks. No health insurance for nearly as many as there were before passing the ACA. Sounds like the party of "NO" to me!!!!

There sure is, but it will still take them a long time to undo a 6 to 3 majority. Unless they pack the courts. But then the GOP can just turn around and do the same thing next time they are in power. So, it would be a really bad idea. That of course will not stop the Democrats from attempting it.

    I have three hopes.
    1. That the democrats leave the numbers of justices alone because if they add 2 the republicans will add 150 claiming the precedence was set. No, it's better to return to a 60 vote confirmation to make the court have people we call all live with.
    2. Clarence Thomas, as the longest serving justice on the right, resigns effective Jan 23rd.
    3. 52 senators get the boot when next up for re-election for proving that they are unwilling to do their most sacred duties.

A Liberal Court has been the only thing we've lived with for the last quarter century, I think the liberal side has had more than its far share of time with a Liberal Court. A conservative one would not be the end of the world, indeed it would be the purest representation of democracy.

    2. Don't be surprised if Mitch McConnell beats you to returning to 60 votes. If the Republicans are playing defensive, then the 60 vote rule would actually help them preserve the conservative court.

    3. It was their sacred duty to vote or not vote, not to vote how an individual citizen would please however.

More Republican revisionist history. Liberal court since a quarter century? In which reality?

This is the bleak reality: Since almost half a century (1969), Republican presidents appointed 15 out of 19 SC judges. A conservative SC gave us such great ruling like Citizens United (which, of course, has nothing to do with citizens), which has brought us unlimited money in elections and a further explosion of constant negative attack ads and smears. But, I am sure you think this is a great thing.

The last three SC judges were appointed by a president who received 3 million less votes than the opponent, and a Senate that received 13 million less votes than the Senate minority. And we still got a 6-3 conservative court. Welcome to minority rule. I hope the SC judges take this into account when ruling, that they reflect a minority of the US population.

We don't appropriate results by number of votes, we appropriate them by the election results. If they lost their districts, they lost their districts. They should've campaigned better.

That can happen as statistical outliers. Most first term presidents, however, do win a second term of office. Only two in the last forty years have failed in that respect, Jimy Carter and G.H. Bush. But you are correct in that the incoming or re-elected president also usually also 'takes' either the House or the Senate as well. But not always and not always both.

Polls aren't fake, they are however...very subjective. Even the best poll gets maybe a few hundred thousand people in a country of hundreds of MILLIONS. Could it be that those millions will follow along? Yes, but that's no guarantee.

Agreed that we don't have to guess. 6 days to go to find out the state of the country moving forward and how everyone can live with it. I will always live by the election results.

Liberals cried and have thrown themselves to the ground kicking and screaming like the best 2 year old spoiled brat for nearly 4 years! You would think they would get a clue eventually, but now they continue to do this with their little threats that will totally bite them on the backside should they even think about executing any of those actions. Just ask Harry Reid how the "nuclear option" worked out for him? Ever since Obama put in place the worst partisan politics in the history of this nation and we all got Donald Trump from that action. Keep playing with fire and you will be consumed by it.

I suggest you look up the word surveil and then apply it to what you believe the relationship between president and congress is. Hmm.

Do the math roughly 500,000 people per house of representatives.

Because if he doesn't get the result he wants, he's going to support packing the court. At least, that's how it comes across to me.

Are you taking an issue with advice and consent now as well? ( Senate)?

Is there any part of the Constitution Progressives do not want to change?

I was responding to another poster, who apparently doesn't know that SC judges are conformed in the Senate, not the House.
