So why does our AG do nothing if laws were violated?

I have nothing to whine about. I was successful before Trump and will continue to be well after he is gone. I laugh at your hero worship of a lifelong liberal though. I just hope for you the next GOP POTUS will give you the feels this one does.

That's more an argumentative statement than a rational one. If a law is violated, you have a crime, and if sufficient evidence of that they investigate- which is happening right now. But proving who is guilty and you can prosecute is a bit more complicated. It's not finger pointing, it requires verifiable facts. And if you have ever been involved in trials (I've been an expert witness in several) you would understand what a slippery task that is and how difficult it can be. The investigations are going on now. Unless the AG is a fool, he won't file charges until he has his ducks in a very solid row.

Trump isn't taking credit for your success or mine, and those things are our jobs, not his. His job is to maximize the environment we work to make success more available to the citizens of the nation.
I'm also a self-made man and neither need nor want government to help me out. I'd like to see a lot more self-made people, and I'd like to see government doing their job better. As for me- the best thing that government could do to help me and others like me is to get the hell out of the way....

Which is one of the reasons Trump is doing things like cutting regulations. We have the largest and most complex collection of regulations of any nation- almost 100,000 pages of them.
I don't know about you, but I find it hard to play a game with that many rules, and whittling them down does help us all. That's his job- work for the betterment of all of us.

Spot on. Just removing the Obamacare mandate, for instance, coupled with significant tax reform, was a major factor in trillions of operating and venture capital being put back to work in our economy. A lot of it came home from being sheltered off shore. That is a huge factor in our booming economy.

Like you and others, despite what Obama said, I built my business, and I did the homework, legwork, and paper work to make it prosper for me and my employees. And millions of other entreprenours have done the same. I retired in Obama's crappy economy, but in the great Trump economy, more and more are now coming on board. President Trump takes no credit for prospering businesses. But he sure as heck gets the credit from me and anybody paying attention for that tax reform and roll back of oppressive and unnecessary regulation.

The original Obamacare legislation was 2200 pages and between 11,000 and 20,000 pages of rules and regs have been added to it since it was passed. That is ONE piece of legislation. There are much more than a million pages of other federal regulations. Over a half million new pages of regulations were added in GW Bush's administration and more than a half million more pages added under Obama. And the huge lion's share have been added by faceless unelected bureaucrats with no input from our elected representatives and all carry the full weight of the law from petty misdemeanors to felonies.

There is no corporation big enough or rich enough to afford a legal team big enough to read and familiarize themselves with all of that. Which means every person and every business is probably committing a felony every single day without being aware of it. And the government knows that and it can be and has been used as a bludgeon to extort money for campaigns and super pacs.

Those who complain that President Trump is rolling back regulations--thank GOD he has the instincts, foresight, and courage to do that--simply want the federal government to be God with total absolute control over everything. Which is another reason we elected President Trump to prevent that.

Trump resumed his attack on the "squad" today. "If you are not happy, if you are complaining all the time, you can leave," he told a heated news conference outside the White House. "These are people that in my opinion hate our country," Trump told reporters.

Why is he doing this? The answer is obvious.

The Iran problem is getting worse, a problem he created. Trump is hoping the Europeans can solve the problem.

Despite two summits and Chamberlain-like visit to North Korea, we are no closer to denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula than we were two years ago.

Last week Trump was forced to back down on the citizenship question on the census, a fight he was fated to lose from the beginning.

Mass deportation arrests that were expected Sunday largely didn’t happen.

Acting Customs & Border Protection Commissioner Mark Morgan said he believes the ICE raids which started over the weekend in a number of U.S. cities have been "overhyped" and "over-politicized."

"Next week ICE will begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States," Trump said four weeks ago.

Mueller is scheduled to testify before two House committees next week. The former special counsel will repeat that Justice Department policy kept him from laying out federal criminal charges against a sitting President, and that it is now up to Congress to hold the President responsible?

We know of more than two dozen meetings between Trump campaign figures and Russians. Mueller will detail how the President tried to fire the special counsel and made several other efforts to derail the investigation.

All of this will take place before a live television audience to be seen by millions. A.G. William Barr said it would be a political spectacle. He was right about that.

So, Trump wants to change the subject. What better way than to make a complete fool of himself by attacking four female junior members of Congress. To divert attention from important matters to which he is failing miserably, making himself look like an idiot is a time-tested tactic.

I would be the first to say that some of President Trump's tweets are not helpful. Just like personal insults on message boards aren't helpful and don't accomplish anything but make things unpleasant. But those four freshman congresswomen have done nothing but trash America, its institutions, its law enforcement, its laws, its values. And they don't seem to give a damn about the problems of the people they are supposed to be representing. They should go back to where they came from and fix the problems there before they have any moral authority to preach to the rest of us.

But considering those four freshmen congresswomen, the positively nutty, insane, dishonest, stupid, ignorant, hateful comments THEY have put out there in their attempt to direct the public conversation, a thought occurred to me. The question usually posed on polls is: "Do you think (whomever) cares about you?" "Or do you think (whomever) cares about things that matter to you.?"

Those four freshmen congresswomen sure as hell don't. But yes, I think President Trump does. But more than that, he has the guts to say what we are thinking. What we believe.

But the left will keep taking his comments out of context, omitting this word or that qualifier or whatever they need to do to twist his words into something he didn't say.

Trump tweeted, “So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

Trump resumed his attack on the "squad" today. "If you are not happy, if you are complaining all the time, you can leave. These are people that in my opinion hate our country."

A small minority of American voters -- 27% of the electorate -- voted for Trump because they agree with him.

    I rest my case.

Three of the four, Democratic Reps. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) were born in the U.S.

The fourth, Ilhan Omar (Minn.), came here as a child, a refugee from Somalia. She has been a citizen longer that the First Lady.

Just how big a fool is Trump? For weeks the radical left represented by Democratic Reps. Ayanna Pressley (Mass.), Rashida Tlaib (Mich.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (Minn.) were doing all they could to divide the Democratic Party. They were pretty much ensuring that Trump would win in 2020 because of the division in the party. Democrats were actually warring against themselves instead of attacking Trump.

That all changed with Trump's racist and xenophobic remarks. Trump caused the Democratic Party to join together in a united front to assail the person they should be attacking instead of themselves, Donald J. Trump.

Nancy Pelosi, who last week was forced to lecture the "squad," is now defending the four Congresswomen and thanking Trump for his contribution to the Democratic cause.

Narcissists do not have compassionate sides How is he exhibited a soft heart ? Calling people names? Sexually assaulting women and bragging about it? Calling innocent people rapists?
And here you go again “People like Hillary exposed for fraud and dishonesty and harm.” No that isn’t what happened at all. They tried desperately to find her guilty of these things and couldn’t. But yet you defend a man who is hiding his tax returns because he doesn’t want you to know what’s in them. A man who treats immigrants like filth
Trump sure knows his base, HeTalks to them like they are stupid and they don’t even realize they’re being insulted. What other president has been so divisive. Imagine if Obama kept talking about the Republicans as the enemies. Imagine if Obama grabbed ******* and boasted about it. Imagine if Obama said he was the smartest president ever etc. Trump knows his base. He is a despicable human being and anyone who respects him is no better. Anyone who wants to raise a child to be just like him is no better

One of my favorite Trump cabinet members. He doesn't get a lot of press, but he comes up with great lines of pure wisdom when we just listen a bit:

I have so missed Thomas Sowell since he retired from writing his column. But he still tweets some zingers. I would love a full commentary from him re President Trump and the completely insidious, hateful, malicious assault on him from the left:

With Putin as his patron, Trump is acting very much like a Russian agent. He is making a mockery of the Office of the President, and it is obvious that he is racist and xenophobic. He is friendly with communist dictators while vexing our allies and weakening NATO, Putin's number one enemy.

Still, Trump should not be impeached. Why? First, it would be an exercise in futility. Obviously, Trump Republicans in the Senate always go along with what Trump says and does even when Trump is weakening the powers of the Senate. No way will they convict Trump in a Senate trial, and Trump could become a martyr, Good Lord. Trump wants to be impeached. He is trying to be impeached. It is his only chance in 2020.

So, secondly, let Trump hang himself along with the Republican Party that supports him no matter what. The past three days prove that without a doubt. The way Trump is going he is so weakening himself, his administration, and his party, the Republicans may not regain the Oval Office for a generation. Don't impeach. When the other side is going out of its way to destroy itself, don't interfere.

We all know Trump is buffoon. Even his fans who are completely frustrated trying to defend him know this. So, he can't do anymore harm. Nobody takes seriously what he says. We just have to weather through the next 16 1/2 months. With Trump entertaining us with his moronic remarks, it will go by fast.

I can still remember when Trump told a huge television audience that George Washington's Continental Army captured enemy airports. Come on, now that is funny.
