Please don't pretend you care about low income people. Not a good look for you because if you gave a single damn about the poor people you'd work on improving the public schools.

School vouchers proponents come in three flavors.

God Nuts: People still upset about a near 70 year old decision demanding that the public pay for their child's religious training.
Union Haters: People who hate all unions and especially the evil Teachers unions.
Profiteers: Like Devos. How much can they make and how fast.

None of them are, have ever been, or ever will be concerned for low income people.

Which are you? Don't know, don't matter. But you won't fool anyone by pretending to possess something resembling "social conscience."

How's this for an education suggestion.

ALL children get the same basic mandatory education through 8th grade. After that those who excel can go to High School and then College the others go into a trade school or military.

Cheap attacks don't count as a reply to my post. A poor mother wants her son to attend a safe school. Your current position gives her 2 choices:

    1. You live in a poor area and you must send your son to the bad, dangerous school. If you don't like it, tough!
    2. Risk criminal charges of enrollment fraud trying to get her son in a good school.

    How can you justify this?

One needs not be a god nut, union hater, or a profiteer to see the obvious failures of our current school system.

Again, you fool no one. Your personal concern for the poor is nonexistent.

The way to fix the problem is to fix the school.
That starts with stopping the financial and intellectual drain.
That starts with returning the students and money.

If you want your kids to learn religion pay for it.
If you want your kids in the best private schools, pay for it.
If you want to make a gob of money running schools, don't expect the taxpayer to pay for it.

Why you think your choices have to be subsidized by the taxpayer is beyond me?

I've offered compromise but that compromise was refused. The refusal proves this isn't about educating poor people but about other agendas. The compromise again:

All private schools respect the prohibition against using public monies for religious purposes
All private schools must accept every applicant regardless of religion, test scores, academic ability or other factors
All schools pay teachers at the same rates and benefits as public schools
Private school teachers may join teachers unions if they desire

Now if you're unwilling to work with this compromise then your agenda as nothing to do with students or poor people.

Wealthy people buy an expensive violin and then hire the best violin teacher available for their child. Being that a parent is supposed to do all they can for their children, why wouldn't they?

It beats the hell out of going clubbing/drugging, and leaving your small children home to fend for themselves.

So dodging and personal attacks are all you got? You just can't claim to care about the poor while supporting a system that forces them to put their kids in bad schools or face criminal charges trying to get their kids a quality education.

    Results speak for themselves.

So unable to make an argument on the merits you think engaging in your invective against concerned parents refutes something......................pitiful.

How are those poor people doing in the government run and mandated schools?

Maybe the poor should spend money on birth control instead of that $400 smart phone if they can't afford to contribute towards their offspring's education. After all the poor outbreed the middle class and rich by 3x. Why become a productive member of society when all you have to so is collect government checks and screw all day.

You cant possibly want to determine a persons career path based on their activities and stats at age 13.
