Well the Schumer government shut down is under way

The Schumer shutdown is now in effect. Liberals will scream and stamp their feet trying to blame it on the President. However anyone with an IQ above a rutabaga knows full well it is Schumer and the democrats that has forced the shut down. Even liberal papers are blaming Schumer and the democrats.

What is really stupid is democrats are forcing this shut down over DACA which is not a real law, and doesnt come due until March. Why now democrats???????????

The huge problem with the shut down is the underpaid members of the military are not being paid.

 

So, our military IS doing its job, but NOT getting paid... while Congress is NOT doing its job, but IS getting paid? Classic.

Trump was offered a deal that gave him everything he asked for and went on "shithole" rant and blew up the negotiation.

 

Active-duty troops, as well as Guard and Reserve members, would not get paid during a shutdown unless Congress passes a separate piece of legislation to do so.

So THAT is on the GOP Congress as well

Uh------------------President Trump does not have a vote in the Senate. This shut down is all on Schumer and the democrats. Scream hollar and stamp your feet but intelligent people know this shut down is on the democrats that didnt vote for funds to keep running the government.

I agree, but people who are bad at civics (which account for most Americans, unfortunately) will be fooled by Schumer's "republicans hold the majority, so it's their fault" lies. It's surprising how many here on PF seem to not understand the shutdown was 100% a political play by the democrats, who made the call.

 

All the GOP has to do is add DACA and remove the defunding of the ACA (and make it a year long authorization instead of this month to month bullshit) and Dems will give them a veto proof bill to fund the government.

In short...it can include anything and the GOP has been stringing DACA along for years. It's a completely popular program.
