Western education systems degrading – Putin

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it's Putin, but it's no secret our education system has become a woke punch line to a joke. It's so bad that even France criticized it last year. For a moment, put Putin aside and read the last paragraph, it says the average IQ of college aged Americans has dropped and it wasn't blamed on some virus, it was blamed on the quality and content of our education.

On top of having students who aren't learning the essentials, what they are learning will most often take them no where in life. How many jobs are there for people with degrees in African pottery or gender studies?

I don't agree with Putin very often, but with this one he nailed it.

 

The fact he said it is going to be a reason for the left to ignore the absurd flaws of or education system, which supresses thought.

But Putin can hold whatever opinion he wants. I dont care about him or his opinion.

Fact is, our colleges have become irrational woke mob creators. Not allowed to have an ounce of disagreement with the lefts ideology or any group they support. Cant have any nuance to your world view. Its absurd.

 

Why is it that the self-proclaimed "patriots" from the right wing ALWAYS side with Putin over America?

 

Yeah, look at all the anti Jew hatred on college campuses and the antisemitism crap being said by professors and admins. Like they say, people aren't born to be racists, they're taught to be racists.

Any society that does not include psychology as a core part of the education system is doomed to dysfunction and corruption.

Well ours does, the problem is the manner in which we view highly subjective studies.

We also tend to call studies, sciences. And there is a difference.

 

From Kindergarten through a Bachelors of Science Degree I never had a single course on psychology. As far as I know, psychology is not taught as a core curriculum in Kindergarten through college. I understand that there are some elective courses and degree specific courses, but no core courses outside a degree in some aspect of psychology.

I do understand that in some colleges aspects of psychology have been hijacked by partisans more interested in promoting an ideology than an honest examination of human nature. Sociologist Jonathan Haidt co-wrote a wonderful book on the subject.

 

These partisans have caused more damage than most are willing to admit.

 

All partisans cause more damage than they and their supporters are willing to admit or can even see. Political loyalty blinds.

 

This is true, and yet unfortunately its going in a very leftward direction in our school system.

 

Well...if they're degrading....then his oligarch thugs should send their snot nosed kids elsewhere for their educations....try Africa.
