I look back through this thread and have to laugh at the ignorance being expounded upon here by one poster. The Congress cannot amend the Constitution by a simple majority vote. It requires a 2/3rds majority to even get it started, then 2/3rds of the voters in 2/3rds of the states have to vote to ratify it. Their Iphone case notwithstanding, Magpul mags are considered one of the best mags on the market today; actually recommended for use by the US Marine Corps and extensively used by the highest regarded shooters and instructors today. I personally run PMags extensively (along with Lancer) and I've got a pile of mil-spec mags with Magpul replacement followers that run like a Swiss watch. The whole tank ownership debate was laughable....
Agree completely and the price is right. The Tango Down mags are really developing quite a rep and in construction they are a bit different. Life expectancy is stated to be a 100K cycles which is impressive in itself. Still I can't imagine what the anti's are trying to accomplish. I buy mags ten at time and as far as I'm concerned they're money in the bank.
And tis the season to buy even more or them. Looking for Black Friday sales to buy just about anything in bulk, especially AR and the various Glocks. That should drive the anti's just wild. When the Clinton mag ban hit I was the proud owner of a large box of Vietnam era 20 rounders that were almost worth their weight in silver that I had originally acquired for next to nothing.
I was in the same position; I'd found a guy running a mil-surp truck he'd park at the side of the road to set out his wares, and one time he had a plastic bin full of mil-spec 30-round AR mags. They were so old they'd been burnished almost gold with use; but I bought the whole bin for about $1 a mag. I replaced the followers with Magpul followers, then figured I had a good stock of training mags. They worked well, anyway. When the ban hit and the price of 30 rd. mags skyrocketed I made out..... rather well.
I did get burned on some surplus Israeli Orlite mags before the ban. Terrible. Luckily I paid very little for them. Just because something is labeled Israeli doesn't necessarily make it good.
I had a bunch of those that worked well but I managed to buy a gross of Thermold 20 round M16 mags a week before the Clinton ban for 8 bucks a piece. Decent mags that made me a bunch of money since people were willing to pay 20 a piece of them in 1995
The best deal I ever got on magazines; A box full of used Police issue dual basket weave leather magazine pouches, in great condition, And the price was $ 1 each !! Good enough, then I noticed that many still had magazines in them, S&W stainless 9mm magazines, so I bought all 30 of them ! 60 magazines with pouches, for $ 30 !!! a real bargain !!
Every state that tried similar types of nonsense found that people simply do not comply with the law. There is no way to enforce such laws because they rely almost entirely on voluntary surrender. If that isn't forthcoming the law is worthless...
But the only tank that can seriously defeat the enemy's best is the new tank, that you are NOT ALLOWED to own
That type of attitude is Anti American. As an NRA Member, We say, I am the N.R.A. so those insults are indeed, personal.
