What inspired your avatar?

This seems to be the best place to put this thread but anyway...

I've seen many avatars in this place and often wondered what inspired them. I actually read some of the post through what I believe the avi represents lol! So, I'm curious as to how close I am to seeing if I have the user pegged correctly . If you are willing to reveal this bit of information please share...

Well. It's me - and I think it's a pretty good picture of me. Old, back when I was sort of in shape, but still a good photo.

 

I'm a mother and a grandmother. There is nothing like your little holding your hand.

 

For some reason, I think Cracker Jack when I see this avi.

 

It's old Uncle Sam, taking off his jacket, rolling up the sleeves, & putting on his working cap.. Somebody's got to do it. but it's really everyone's job, in a govt of, by, & for the people.

that's a cracker jack reason to do it, anyway.

 

Mine is from one of the funniest scenes in a Simpsons episode ever. And I think the photo really enrages my political enemies when they see it, especially when I'm crushing their arguments. I like it, I doubt I'll ever change it.

 

I cut my teeth in precision rifle shooting by competing in "egg shoots". Freind sent me the photo so when I needed an avatar it was already in my computer. Just added a moniker to match.

In reality it has a bit more meaning to it than just a photo. Some of the worlds top shooters told me my goals in the area of precision shooting were impossible to acheive. Others have made that mistake before but the shooting endeavors were fun for quite awhile. After I acheived and bested my goals it became just another job.

I never would have guessed! At best, I would have guessed maybe skeet - shooting with eggs, but I don't know much sports-shooting. Thanks for the clarification, I always wanted to know about your avi.

BTW, I have more OT questions like how in the hell did you locate the damn egg (instinct, rules, recommendations)?! But I'll bother you later with those IYDM.

I think it perfectly captures the wings of freedom on which America soars, its perch high above all and master of all it surveys, its eagle eyes forever vigilant of danger, and its ferocious talons that instill fear in even the strongest of enemies.

 

I am a retired deputy sheriff and police officer. Seth Bullock was the sheriff of Lawrence County, S.D, in the 1870s wherein lay the town of Deadwood. I got the idea for the avatar and screen name after watching the HBO series, "Deadwood".

Nope, totally my ugly mug. The Photoshopping is mine as well. I also turned my real cigarette into an ecig about 4 years ago.

 

Mine... well just how muslims act, albeit mostly the loud ones. Maybe sometime I'll swap it out for one that makes fun of some other religion.
