    Well the Earths field is strong enough to repel solar winds and harmful suns rays, so it is only a matter of making an artificial dome over the carries. More complex than it sounds no doubt.

    The Philadelphia Experiment is an event during 1943 in which the United States Navy purportedly teleported a Navy destroyer escort, the USS Eldridge, from Philadelphia to Norfolk. They also made it invisible – as in, to the naked eye. Most people believe the incident was either a hoax or the ravings of a lunatic, however, some still believe that it may have really occurred and that there is a large conspiracy to cover it up. What is interesting is that the tale of the Philadelphia Experiment has made it into the annals of American legend. So, what’s the real story?...

    I wonder if there is a way we could help Trump to THINK we have a space force.

    Though I wouldn't call it imagination, he's nicely separated from reality.

    I consider the Van Allen belt is sort of where two fields merge and compress forming field density.

    A solid is denser so can pass through .

    Good point. At least Reagan's idea claimed to be limited to defense.

    However, once there are weapons in space for any purpose, I don't know any reason that anyone should trust we would hold to that limit.

    And, there is even a use for missile defense in offense. After all, if we can prevent retaliation we're far more free to go on the offensive.
