This is a important issue and for some reason the pundits are ignoring Governor Sarah Palin's accomplishments and strong executive experience as Governor of Alaska when they discuss her in the media. This article explains that pundits are working behind the scenes to undermine Palin and if you hear Dick Morris and Karl Rove talk their negative propaganda about her, it is clear that they oppose any policy or idea that threatens their established Elitist status quo in Washington. Palin is a true outsider and has led the fight against Obama since day 1 and she has never been afraid to speak her mind about this presidents flawed ideology and policies. It’s important to acknowledge the role Palin has played over the past three years. She rallied the opposition to President Barack Obama during a time when opposition seemed impossible. What these pundits never discuss is what' it takes to make a good president, impressive qualifications and working with legislators to achieve positive results. She has that. You people and the media must remember, she had an 85% approval rating as governor. Her most impressive accomplishment, though, in my opinion is that she went toe to toe with Exxon and won concessions for the Alaskan people.

Please take a few short minutes and read this article and please comment. Lets keep this discussion limited to her fiscal record compared to the other candidates as well as Obama. I would appreciate it.

So while the business-as-usual boys and girls play their games, I thought we could do something productive and revisit ten aspects of Sarah Palin’s gubernatorial record worth highlighting. Whether she makes a run for the presidency or not — and I personally believe that she will — let’s take a look at some things the media and the D.C./Manhattan elite haven’t quite gotten around to mentioning.

1.. As governor in 2007, Palin was responsible for the largest veto totals in state history, while investing $1 billion in forward-funding education and fulfilling public safety and infrastructure necessities.

    2. Palin invested $5 billion in state savings during a time of economic surplus.

    3. Palin reduced spending by 9.5% from 2007 to 2010 and slashed earmark requests by over 80% during her time as governor.

    4. Under Palin, Alaska’s total liabilities were reduced by 34.6% overall.

    5. As governor, Palin wabs the CEO of the state and had substantial authority. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, “In Alaska, the Governor has line-item veto power over the budget and can only be overridden by a three-quarters majority of the Legislature.”

    6. Palin’s free-market approach to AGIA (Alaska Gasline Inducement Act) featured full transparency with respect to competitors and no back-door meetings. It also unlocked the ConocoPhillips, BP and ExxonMobil monopoly and marked an enormous step toward energy independence.

    7. Palin tossed out the corruption-ridden, structurally-flawed Petroleum Profits Tax of the Murkowski administration and put forth ACES (Alaska’s Clear and Equitable Share), which incentivized development while seeing to it that Alaskans — resource owners as per the Alaska Constitution — would receive “A CLEAR and EQUITABLE SHARE (ACES) of the value of their commonly-owned oil and gas.” The result? Alaska was left with a $12 billion surplus. Also, as reported at Big Government, “The number of oil companies filing with the Alaska Department of Revenue has doubled, indicating that competition has indeed increased. Alaska has the second most business friendly tax set-up — up two spots since the passage of ACES. Additionally, a report from Governor Parnell’s Department of Revenue indicated that 2009 yielded a record high in oil jobs.”

Palin shot herself in the foot when she abandoned her Governorship. I know, I know, liberals were costing the state tons of money by forcing her to have to defend herself against false allegation after false allegation. But that is part of being the senior elected official in the State.

She's a great cheerleader for the cause, but she's not Presidential material.

She resigned because of time and financial burden of a litany of ethics complaints. The complaints were without merit and took away from the job she wanted to do for Alaskans. She had also fulfilled all the campaign promises she made which was executing ethics reform, budget cutting, earmark cutting, getting the natural gas pipeline off high center through an open, transparent, and competitive process!!!.She promised to keep the frivolous anti-Palin law suits away from the Alaskan people and to be more effective on the stump ( supporting candidates , fundraising, etc). Sarah Palin was truthful on both accounts! Sarah Palin basically spearheaded the 2010 victory with her endorsements, and rallies all over the country. Sarah Palin has proven that her stepping down will have no negative effect on her running for president.

Presidents are practically free from the hassle of frivolous lawsuits. If anything, you should be arguing that the liberal machine successfully damaged her name and people should move on. That's how I feel about Sarah Palin and I'm sticking to it. Besides, she is much more effective to the conservative cause doing just what she is doing right now.

The woman couldn't handle a full term as governor...and you think she could handle being president?

She was doing just fine as Governor with a 80% approval rating. A flaw in Alaska's law was the reason she had to step down. If the flaw wasn't there, she would still be governor today.
