Public opinion is shifting dramatically as this subject is pushed front and center. Trump is responsible for that and I agree he should keep up the good work.

 

It may come to that and Trump would likely win in the supreme Court as he has with virtually all these shopped for by democrats judges decisions in the lower court. Problem is it would be this time next year before we got that decision.

And there's a reason no one was asking for thousands of miles of barriers when they passed the secure fence act. You put them up around populated areas because that's where they are effective. The idiot trump's wet dream of a wall across the entire southern border is a horrible waste of funds.

First leftist I've heard that says Trump's not asking for enough and I agree but five billion will strengthen sub standard areas of existing fence and add additional pedestrian barriers to sections that currently only have vehicle barriers so I'll take it.

 

I'm not a leftists, but anyone paying attention at all knows that 5 bil won't come close to building the kind of wall trump promised. I'm indifferent though because Mexico is going to be compelled to write a check for it.

Obviously it won't build the wall Trump promised and he has compromised with democrats down to a bare minimum that no reasonable person can argue with but Chuck and Nancy are intransigent on the issue and won't give an inch. Of course they won't. The entire issue is nothing but a political circle jerk. A 5b wall won't do a gdamn thing to stem the tide of illegal drugs, protect us from terrorists, or significantly stop illegal crossings. And 5 billion is in the noise for all the frivolous spending Washington does.

As soon as anyone proposes measures that will do that I will be behind them. Trump could have run on any number of a myriad of actions that would really affect illegal immigration. But he didn't. He chose the most low brow, dumb method in a wall. And then made nonsensical promises about how it was going to be funded.

 

Border agents on the ground in overwhelming numbers say walls work and they need more of them. 5.7 billion in new and or improved barriers can only help

 

Border agents are political like any other group. The honest one's know it won't help.

 

Just because you are so political you would deny border guards what they say they need in order to as you said ,"deny Trump a victory" doesn't mean everyone else is.
