And yet they're still arriving by the thousands a day....

It's quite possible that your opinion is wrong and that they think this country is much better than the s******* they left behind.

Of course.... If we just keep adding millions more just like them, we'll be just like their country.... That's the progressive plan for the future of America.

They don't give two little dams as long as it keeps them in power

The African rulers supplying slaves to the slave markets on the coast were probably not exporting their most valued citizens. And once the cargos crossed the Atlantic, the best of the lot were probably bought by the more profitable sugar plantations of the Caribbean before the remainder arrived on our southern shores.

There they could be overseen by white plantation staff that likely included convicts from Britain or their descendants. Transportation of convicts began in earnest following the Transportation Act of 1718. After the outbreak of the War of Independence, Britain had to find a new destination. The First Fleet set sail for Australia in 1787.

"According to the vicar of Wendover, transportation served the purpose of ‘draining the Nation of its offensive Rubbish’. While some saw transportation as a severe punishment by exiling convicts to seven or fourteen years of slavery, others regarded transportation as offering rehabilitation to the convicts by giving them the opportunity of making a new life in a new country away from the temptations of their old haunts."
