What's it like to be a Jew and Democrat during these times?

I would think its like being a battered wife that always makes excuses (I fell down the stairs, a small meteorite hit me, aliens punched me in the face after abducting me)

How do YOU justify supporting the party in which many members are calling for the end of Jews.

Just curious, please share. I feel for you, I really do. If you turn to THE RIGHT you have to worry about just as much violence from the left (they hate Republicans as much as they hate Jews)

Who exactly is calling for "the end of Jews"? (note that I'm expecting something a bit more structured than random shouts at protests, which often involve some kind of generalised rhetoric that doesn't really reflect reality).

 

They don't advertise it (that would be dumb and you already know that which is why you were trying to pigeon hole me out of the most obvious answer) but when they are rallied together and angry, the truth comes out and many were not only calling for the end of them but were praising Oct 7th.

 

Calling for something is a public statement "advertising" an opinion by definition, so you're actually claiming people privately want to "end the Jews".

As I said, you get extreme rhetoric from all sorts of protests, especially ones on particularly emotive topics, but that doesn't necessarily accurately represent the considered opinions of most of the people protesting. Anyway, you were talking about "many members" of the Democratic party, so nameless protestors doesn't quite cut it.

It seems like your argument that many members of the Democrat party are calling to "end the Jews" is no more valid that saying this thread proves you're calling to "end the Democrats".

 

So in your mind "rallying" and "angry" means "death to Jews"? Wow...quite a leap. I don't understand anyone being angry at or hating on Jews but to claim those people want to "end Jews" is asinine.

 

The left in UK has been mired over the last few years with claims of rampant anti semitism due to its dismissal of a disproportionate amount of Jewish labour members on the grounds of Antisemitism.

Do you mean Jewish religion, including Orthodox, Progressive, Etc., or Jewish culture, or Israeli or Zionist, or actual Semitic?

 

Probably the same as Christians who are Republican feel.

 

He's definitely referring to right wing Jewish folk in the democrat party.

 

That's not something the ultra-Orthodox need to think about. When it is time to vote, the Rabbi will inform them.
