K! My best argument for owning a weapon like this is the total loss of faith in the federal and state governments to maintain control of the fringes. Be they the white Cop Car Crapping OWS or the Baby killing New Black Panthers. I need the ability for someone in my home to lay down suppression fire while I get beads and take down enough; not take out. Why not kill first? Battlefield tactics; when you injure one it takes to or three out as they tend their comrade. If that does not work chest and head shots all the way.

Oh - think it can not happen? Look at Greece! Look at LA! Nope it is a sad reality that people need these things but I never, ever, want to use any weapon on a fellow American.

I guess it appears that by my disagreeing to those who are rapidly pro gun, they think I am rapidly anti-gun despite having more guns than most.

I don't disagree with anything you just said concerning the nature of government granted rights.

Government rights are based on observations.

    Laughable.

The correction was made after the time of Founders. The Founding Fathers did not correct it. They took full advantage of the basic human rights violation. Around 600,000 men died fighting for the issue. Slavery was not abolished because it was right, but because one side won a bloody war and the other did not.

Do you have anything more to add about your mythical view of history?

Some of the Founders like John Adams knew that slavery was in direct violation of man's God given rights but at the time it was not practicable to recognize them since many conveniently did not view blacks as human and a nation needed to be created. The fight to defend all rights went on for years and culminated in success, though many died for it. The White House was built using slave labor.

Your God given rights are those rights you have despite government. The Constitution recognizes that and protects them from government oppression.

You are right, you have not said you would ban or severely restrict, but the implication in your posts is severe restrictions. Maybe in another post you have been clear as to the restrictions you want but I don't know what they are. If I had to guess, I would definitely put your position on the same side of the fence as the gun control crowd.

The thread was originally directed towards assault rifles. Automatic weapons. I am fine with those remaining on their Class III status. However, I do believe the registry should be opened again. $20,000 for an M-16 is unreasonable.

Oh, so John Adams opposed slavery. Thats nice. I would have thought that maybe they would have barred slavery from the get go.

The Bill of Rights do not encompass all rights that are beneficial to the individual.

I've never heard before about the agreement of law for heavy weaponry for the residents. Is the constitution shares accesses for people to weaponry? I don't think that it's legal. I assume that only Arabian countries/nationalities approve the acquisition of heavy weaponry; for the residents of the country. But if it's legal, so I wonder how.

The pen is mightier than the sword. You sound like a vey dangerous person to me. You probably should get a first amendment license and training.

improvements in weapon designs that make them a superior weapon and as such, they're the only real viable weapon or arms for a single person to employ..... did u have to ask?

vote. for an amendment to make abortion rights and the second amendment the same amendment and immune from further change. they're both ridiculously annoying issues and no one is going to change either of them without a fight anyway. letÂ’s stop fighting about it.
