What's with the arab doors and windows?

    Is there any purpose to it? Or is it there just because it looks cool. Just wondering?

    Horseshoe arches were adapted from the visigoths. Architecture is the original cultural appropriation.

    They filter the sunlight so the room stays much cooler. Generally there is some sort of decorative perforate wooden screen over the opening.

    It does help.. and that the wall are often very thick and the kitchen is on the roof.
