When Might the Upgrade Be?

I notice that the donations have almost covered the required amount so there should be enough money to cover the cost of these upgrades.

 

I'm glad...looking forward to the fix.

 

yeah after all whats the hurry we've only been waiting like 8 months for them to fix this (*)(*)(*)(*).

 

There are some upgrades coming this morning so we will see what happens

 

So, is the site upgraded now?

 

What is going on here is as follows.
A person with a life and a job is working very hard on making this a better place for everyone who wishes to post here.
While some suggest its an easy task, please keep in mind that, what works for a more compact forum, might be quite different for a forum this size.
We all would like results to come about quickly, that's understandable.
But, we are still here, still posting, and we are enjoying some improvements already, esp speed, less database errors and such, while being able to debate with friends.

 

Is there another site I can use while we wait the 8 months or so, again, for the next update to be installed?

well , I don't know what or who to believe , I'm not a pc guy , heck , I just learned to multi-quote last week , I wouldn't know the difference between a VB and a volleyball .

All I know is that I haven't lost any more posts in pf lala land , when I log in I actually get logged in , when I import a graphic and come back to the post I was working on , it's still there , and PF is faster than it's ever been .

I said a few months ago I'd not donate any more money until I saw that things are being fixed , well , things may not be as fast here as on other sites , but other sites ain't PF either , and PF is my choice , my www home , and as far as I'm concerned , PF is fixed enough for me to start donating again , and a lot of other people must feel the same way because PF recieved 86 % of their cost in Feb , and that's the highest donation % I've ever seen since it was started.

So , as bad as it is it's a lot better than it was , and I'm willing to go on a little faith here , meet the owner halfway .

I do wish that a way could be found to let everyone know what's being done besides posting the TOS , we know the TOS , what we don't know is what's going on .

Lets stop fussing for a bit and have a pizza break . ..
