looks as if democrats have found a new way to attack gun owners. They also are making false claims after admissions that they had no information or observations of crimes or threats by the person. I believe these people should be arrested for false statements. Garland is also proving to be a political hack and likely was one of the worst nominations to the Supreme Court and republicans saved us from his activism.

Lefty posters won't come near this thread with a ten foot pole.... It demonstrates their tyranny. Their abuse of power. Their willingness to destroy the nation in pursuit of their ideology.

There is one poster here who sees the FBI as Knights in Shining Armor, out to protect and save the country.

In truth, the FBI and DOJ are both rotten to the core, a sign of the times. Garland fits right in, and this information brought by whistleblowers proves it. Many events prove it, but this one is very strong.

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, on Sunday slammed the FBI investigations of parentswho protested education policies as "scary stuff."

In an interview on Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," Jordan said it appeared the Department of Justice misled the House on the matter.

GOP members of the House Judiciary Committee wrote a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, revealing the investigations after they were disclosed to legislators by whistleblowers, the Washington Examiner reported.

"The e-mail that went out to FBI agents all across the country, that process was used to go after moms and dads in more than two dozen cases," Jordan said.

"He said he wouldn't use the counterterrorism measures of the government to go after parents, but it looks exactly like what they did. And God bless these whistleblowers who came forward."…

He had a locker next to the team physician who allegedly did this. I'm not sure how that implicates him or why a team physician needs a locker. These are grown men and it is only an issue because he a warrior for this country against scum that want to destroy it.

1: Even IF the parents threatened anyone that is not an FBI issue. It is a local matter for the local police. This is out of their jurisdiction.

2: Which of the 2 dozen cases made actual threats?

3: Do you know why Garlend et al said that they would not use the "counterterrorism measures of the government to go after parents"? Look to point 1 to get a hint.

The article that @XXJefferson#51 posted about was made yesterday, on the 15th and comes from Newsmax. The article from the link you give is from the 11th and comes from Fox. Ergo, not a duplicate thread and per the rules of the current events forum is considered as a current event. Indeed there are even differences. Such as the fact that the Newsmax article talks about Rep Jordan being in an interview that same day (the 15th), something not mentioned in what you linked to.

Considering that school board members are facing threats by "parents" who attend these meetings and that the hostile stances, statements, and threats appear to be organized, the FBI should investigate. However, an investigation may or may not lead to an arrest, depending on what the evidence brings.

In this article, it says, "It was only days after Sami Al-Abdrabbuh was re-elected to the school board in Corvallis, Ore., that the text messages arrived. The first, he said, was a photograph taken at a shooting range. It showed one of his campaign’s lawn signs — “Re-Elect Sami” — riddled with bullet holes. The second was a warning from a friend. This one said that one of their neighbors was looking for Mr. Al-Abdrabbuh. The neighbor was threatening to kill him." The article also says that Mr. Al-Abdrabbuh has to change is route daily when going to work, scans his driveway, and regularly talks to the police. No matter who you are or where you came from, no one should have to live like that because of political differences of opinion.

In this article, it says, "Reuters documented the intimidation through contacts and interviews with 33 board members across 15 states and a review of threatening and harassing messages obtained from the officials or through public records requests. The news organization found more than 220 such messages in this sampling of districts. School officials or parents in 15 different counties received or witnessed threats they considered serious enough to report to police." The article further writes, "While school controversies are traditionally local, these threats often come from people out of state with no connection to the districts involved. They are part of a rising national wave of threats to public officials – including election officials and members of Congress – citing an array of grievances, often underpinned by apocalyptic conspiracy theories alleging “treason” or “tyranny.”" From this, I can see why the FBI is investigating. If a threat crosses state lines, it falls under the jurisdiction of the FBI with local law enforcement, both at the location where the threat was intended to and the local police where the threat originated.

in this article, a school board member believes, ""I wholeheartedly believe this is an organized, concerted effort. I'm not going to put it on one organization, but this is a lot deeper than what I think people realize,"

My concern is not where they are protesting or to whom, it is how and to what extent they are protesting. Protesting at a home is acceptable as long as it is a civil, peaceful demonstration. Making death threats, and bringing firearms into the mix at a protest THAT is not about the 2a is not what I call a peaceful demonstration. Walking around with signs saying they disagree with her decision or her vote on a specific school board meeting agenda is what I call acceptable, whether it is at a school board meeting or in front of her home.

Did you read the article. There was no threats in the examples given. These two examples were about guns and that they just didn’t like them. There may have been threats in some but not here. And secondly why did they lie about it

It’s not an opinion. Garland did in fact testify they never targeted parents and this proves they did. Some even claimed the reasoning was that the parents had guns and later claimed they really didn’t know. That’s not an opinion of the article that’s a fact of the article

How do these threats appear to be organized? Looks like they merged two threads here. But there were people who were turned into the FBI by people who claimed they were concerned about the parent because they had guns and later admitted that they didn’t know if they really had guns. Should those school board members be fined or arrested for false statements?

I’m sure there has been threats. But actions like this is not acceptable either. Also why did garland lie about this? Why was Whitehouse involvement lied about as well?
