I've done some things that I'm not proud of but not that. I don't go to church very often and I always feel like a POS when I leave the place. Man if I hit it with the preacher's daughter... I dunno. That is hilarious.

I have to say though I have had stretches of celibacy. Stuff has gotten so crazy on the dating scene that I've just withdrawn at times. I've had so much going on like school in the past and work now that dealing with the drama just wasn't worth it.

What bothers me about Blackrook is it seems like he got married young and really never got to outgrow the teenage mentality. I thought your story about your marriage proposal to your high school sweetheart getting shot down was interesting. When I was a teenager there were any number of girls that I would have settled down with if they wanted that. But I got shot down on the dating scene. As time went on and I went to college and then started making some dough. Things changed. Being a single, well educated guy, with a good job and no baggage seems to be a somewhat rare commodity. Now the supply demand equation is totally flipped and to be honest with you even the girls I longed for during my younger days are now summarily dismissed. I've grown and matured and they've just grown... chunky.

The problem I have is girls will pursue you and want to have sex and you eventually give in and oblige them. Then one day you don't give them what they want or you have an argument and you get accused of "using them." I just get so sick of that routine that I withdraw. I am totally fine with typing on the internet on a Friday night. At least I won't have some girl in my bed quoting the feminist book of Blackrook and accusing me of using her.

So let's summarize. In this thread Blackrook claims to be a middle aged man who has been married for 20 years. He is up on a Friday night sans wife telling complete strangers he disagrees with that they visit prostitutes, rape little boys in truck stops, and have venereal disease. Interspersed are graphic descriptions of sex with his wife along with sanctimonious speeches about morality. And what prompted all of this? A nut shot on a stupid commercial. I saw that commercial too and felt the same way. I am watching one now where some fat, bespeckled white dude is marrying his car. Androphobia is now many decades in progress as the government has really taken over the role of provider while subjugating human males to the whim of females with regard to sexual, pregnancy, birth matters. My sense of you is that you don't even like women as people because you view them with suspicion and resentment. This is probably because you had some kind of problem with your mother, who soured you on women for life.

My mother and I did not have a good relationship, but despite that I was able to form a meaningful long-lasting relationship with a woman. We have been together for 30 years. I was wrong when I said we have been married for 19 years. This year we will be married for 24 years. Woops.

We have three children together and we have raised them in a loving stable home. Part of that was teaching my children my Catholic faith, which provides a firm foundation for good morals and values.

Politics Junky, the reason you don't have what I have is because you haven't really been trying. When I met my wife, I went after her with single-minded determination because I really, really wanted to marry her. If you're not willing to put in that kind of effort, it will never happen for you. Good women want to be chased, and if you're not a chaser you're never going to catch anyone worthwhile.
