Ok, I think all actions have a point, even if the point is fun or distraction, or whatever. The point of my statement was not that all threads need a serious point, it was that there was no reason to resurrect a thread in order to personally attack other members. I think we should all be able to agree on that point, don't you?
bloody hell guys, not a single mention of me! but nevermind. I enjoy reading the posts of Johnny-C, Rightwngafraud, and j0nah. and others of course, but I don't recall them at the moment. Now I enjoy these not because they're well formulated, or because I agree, or that they make sense (quite the opposite on all points actually) but I just find them funny.
I am a new poster but I hope to be someone who others can have peaceful dialog with. I almost think the mods should crack down on a lot of the angry threads and deviceive stuff..
Also Mikezila, Stagnant, American Thinker, Sadanie...and any moderator who allows us longer to edit our posts.
I was glad to see this thread resurrected, there are a few names I'd like to add. Unifier - Quality posts, always. Brewskier - Fellow metalhead, fellow beer enthusiast, unrelentingly smashes liberals in debate as if he wields Thor's hammer. Webbrock - His posts are lucid, and practically poetic at times. Ethereal - Dude is sharp... Bow to the robots - Another intelligent poster... Troalini (sp?) - Intelligent, quality posts. Some posters I like, but don't always agree with: Stagnant Shiva TD Ceynned (your name is difficult) Wolverine Zoiasmom The_XL Really People Once again, I'm sure I'm missing many names here...
Thanks to those who mentioned me My faves, in no particular order DonGlock26 - I feel he understands progressive lunacy better than almost anyone on the site. His ability to point out the sheer ridiculousness of their hypocrisy and double standards is unparalleled. His threads and replies always contain stinging rebukes of the progressive ideology and its destructive influence on society. He also knows how to perfectly infuse humor and sarcasm , which makes his offerings even more deadly and bulletproof. He gets under the skin of liberals better than almost everyone, which is a testament to his abilities. Travis Bickle/Leatherface (and plenty of others) - I don't know if this dude is still lurking around with a different username, but I was a huge fan of his when he was here. He took the fight right to the progressives with an aggressive and effective style that very few others can emulate. He is missed. leftlegmoderate - Like he said, we both like metal and we both like beer. Hard to not like someone with those two things in common. We also agree on almost every political topic discussed. Aside from a brief stint as site advisor, where he had to neuter his style a bit in order to conform to the rules, he knows how to shut down liberals in quick order as he employs a sharp wit matched with a solid grasp on the subject. Mac-7 - I'm surprised nobody has mentioned him yet. I always enjoy his posts. Straightforward, hard-hitting rebuttals of liberal arguments, with a style I really enjoy. texmaster - I know he's not here anymore, but he was definitely one of my favorites for a variety of reasons. I need to stop in at another site to see how he's doing. montra - One of the funniest posters on the site, I believe. Few people can wield sarcasm like he can. protectionist - I disagree with him on many issues (we couldn't be farther apart on the subject of economics), but on the issues where we agree, we agree completely. On the topics of Islam and illegal immigration, he is one of the fiercest, most knowledgeable people on the site. There are many others as well. I echo the sentiments of everyone who selected Unifier, webrockk, and Professor Peabody. I'd also like to mention BroncoBilly, Consmike, Talon, and Terrapinstation. I'm also a big fan of RiseAgainst, Stuart Wolfe, and slashbeast. There are many quality people on this site.... I'm sorry if I left anyone out. One more I just remembered - Albert di Salvo. One of the most unique and original people on this site.

You expected my list of favorite posters to include left-wingers for the reasons of "even-handedness"? Great reason why you weren't included. Protectionist is extremely liberal on the subject of Economics, by the way. I still added him to my list.

Oh, and I am on the left, and most of my favorite posters still at this forum are on the right(mostly because good left-wing posters seem to get banned). So your attempts to pretend that your extremely partisan list is natural, is silly to say the least.

So there is no coherent reason why all the posters you would choose, would be ideologically similar to you. I appreciate intelligent posters on the right at this forum, because they are such an an endangered species. So I feel like they need to be cherished while they are still around!! So simply picking posters who agree with me on every issue, even if their reasoning for doing so is flawed, makes very little sense!!
