Not really. It would be sort of like you (as a grandfather) telling your grandchildren stories about things that happened to you as a child.... Your mind was filled with images (memories) to include images of your grandfather telling you stories of his childhood. Those stories told to you by your grandfather which may or may not have been further related to your grandchildren are part of the oral tradition.
Hold on I'm confused are you asking why theists and other religious people think God created the universe? Because if so them I'm with you, who are these people walking around claiming God is responsible for things? I mean people who disagree might hold them to those standards and then they will be forced to go on the internet and create ironic threads.
The story goes that it took him six days to do the entire universe and that it happened on a Tuesday in October 6000 years ago. That's where the story of dinosaurs with saddles originated. Makes one wonder what kind of animal handling Noah did doesn't it?
Lol, this is almost painful. It is a logical and reasonable conclusion if the theory that God created the universe is valid. Or maybe they just got the idea from God. Isaiah 45:7 “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.”
Well, where is the "theory that God created the universe" published? Has that theory (that God created the universe) ever been proven to be fact? No? Then the "god did it theory" is false. Therefore, we are right back to square one... in determining who it is that started this seemingly 'false' 'theory' that is referred to as the "god did it theory". Do you know who was responsible for starting that seemingly unprovable claim that such a theory exists? Who got the idea from God? Are you declaring emphatically and authoritatively that Isaiah spoke with God and God gave Isaiah the 'god did it theory'?
You are right the god did it theory is as false as the theory that god exists. I know you have a hard time understanding the arguments presented to you, you have proven it thoroughly but it never ceases to amaze. The people who present the god did it theory are challenging the notion of said god by examining the definition of that god, something believers tend to have difficulty with. If the argument for a god is valid it should withstand skeptical inquiry and logical counter arguments.
For it to amaze you is an understatement. First you say that I am right regarding and argument (supposed theory to be in existence), then you say that I don't understand the arguments, yet I am right and beyond that you proclaim that I have again proven something. Now that is truly an amazing feat on your part. You mean the limited knowledge, prejudicial, biased, uninformed, possibly no where near a complete description, definition(s) of 'god' that have been talked about by mankind? In other words, those people you reference are acting through ignorance of the subject matter when they speak of 'god'. Got it. That would be true, IF, and only IF someone could provide a definition of 'god' that was not prejudicial, biased, unambiguous, irrefutable, undeniable, and all inclusive of any attribute that 'god' MIGHT possess. Has anyone presented such a definition as yet?
Probably some of those horrendous tornadoes like that one depicted in the Wizard of Oz, and they finally figured out that they were not in Kansas anymore.
Here....I will supply both the theory and author: The God Did It Theory When inconsistency or impossibility becomes obvious within Religious text and explanation cannot be provided as to the opposition to available and verified data, the use of a miracle is often employed as defense of an argument which requires a supernatural force to explain. ~tecoyah
I wonder if this so called GOD will come and pick up the Royalty Check? LOL!!! You know...if there actually IS a GOD....it would be LAUGHING whatever passes for it's ass off!! AboveAlpha
....uh....as I am the author, all royalties would be MINE....this God dude ain't takin' any of my scratch.
Holy Bible Batman.......no, I mean it's got a bunch of holes in it. Don't worry Robin....we'll just use the Bat Gap Filler.
Ramble on. I'm surprised to here you talk about every religion on the planet like that. Yes you and every other believer are doing exactly that. Nonbelievers are only doing so indirectly because they only have believers ignorance of the subject matter to discuss because there is no knowledge of god. The sum of that is still at 0. Indeed the argument for any gods existence is as laughable as unicorns but that is not why skeptics and nonbelievers argue against them. They argue against them because despite all the definitions of god being prejudicial, biased, ambiguous, refutable, deniable, absurd, ridiculous, non evidential nonsense billions of people base their lives around it.
Then why is it reported on the internet that such people as Stephen Hawking make reference to the 'god did it theory'? Surely this great physicist (Hawking) would be able to recognize a 'theory' when he saw one?
Is that the best you can do? In spite of all else you stated above, the highlighted text speaks volumes regarding your understanding of the subject of 'knowledge'. Yet some non-theists argue that God is responsible for the existing diseases that afflict mankind. Well, ceding to that argument in favor of the non-theist argument that God created all diseases, tell Stephen Hawking who is afflicted with one of those diseases about how laughable the evidence is for the existence of God is lacking while Hawking is unable to speak and or walk. Bearing in mind that God has the power to create such diseases, then God would also have the power to afflict as many people as He desired with whatever disease He knew to be appropriate for the individual person. You see, the non-theist argument about diseases and how God made (created) those diseases, in relation to situations like Hawking, is all the evidence that is needed for the believers.
With your gibberish, yes it is. Then again considering how many people have put you on ignore over your inability to understand arguments presented to you and your desire to obfuscate conversations maybe you should give me some credit. Yes it does it says quite clearly that there is no knowledge of god because there is no knowledge of god. There is knowledge of the concept of god just as there is knowledge of the concept of many mythical creatures. The greatest thing about this argument is that my first reply to you is where this conversation will end. Of course it will still be beyond you at that point but I've gone this far so why stop now? Non-theists who argue that God is responsible for ANYTHING do so do point out the absurdity of the concept of God they are debating. If someone comes to me and explains that fairies are this that and the other thing I can use that information to challenge their claim without having an inkling of belief in fairies.
