Biden can only avoid humiliation by not showing up.

Biden's handlers will have him keep his mouth shut except to tell us all the usual liberal democrat touchy, feely crap, along with sad stories of heartbreak, etc. He will be told to just be a nice, dignified gentleman and get through it without making an ass out of himself.

Ryan will be polite, but he will go after the soft underbelly of the horrible Obama record and hit Biden with it left and right. He will do it nicely, but it will be like machinegun fire and it will tear Biden's head off. And all of it will be facts and figures, based on the Obama record. It will be terrible and wonderful at the same time, depending on whether you're a lib or a con.

I get a kick how it is being portrayed on CBS, the inexperience against the seasoned debate veteran. If Biden were Republican it would be the up and coming whiz kid against the old doddering fool.

Biden, if he does what he has to take on Ryans radical views and Romneys hair brained theory they can chop down tax rates and not gut key tax breaks people count on. He will need to also take a shot at the 47% remark Romney made to bring it back out on tv. Biden could set-up the next debate for a big hit on Romney its a town hall format Obama's strongest point and where questions will be coming from people in the audience.

A better, more appropriate question: Who will ultimately change their vote based on who wins tonight? We know that answer, so it doesn't much matter. Since we now know it's more about style than substance, it's anyones night.

I think it will be a tie. Biden knows for Obama to win it will be because Of Obama's likeability,,it's the only thing that got him elected and the only thing that can save that empty suit.

Biden knows he has to stay out of trouble, or he may dent that likeability, he wont take that chance,,put it this way,,, I'll bet He's been TOLD,,,DONT TAKE THAT CHANCE!!!!

Ryan knows not to get cornered or too definite about anything, keep it simple for Mitt. He may get a bit Wonky with numbers, people expect the Waldo side of him to show off a bit, but that's about it. I expect a rather boring, steady debate, nothing flashy at all.

    Who cares?

We are all going to wake up tomorrow only to find out that the fact checkers are going to tell us all they were both blowing smoke up our ass.

Ryan has plenty of spots where someone could put him on blast, but Biden will probably be too drunk to do it.

Ryan will probably win in the eyes of most, but the American people will be the losers overall.

Agree! The Obamanite "think tank" has probably told him to be like a turtle and pull in his legs, his head, and his tail. Biden is a just another Libocrat jive-ass schmoozer, like his boss... and he doesn't know diddly-squat about the economy. The only thing that old-school hacks like Biden know is that if you keep the welfare flowing, you can always count on getting the "welfare vote" to be in your favor. But right now none of the hyperlibs is chasing the welfare vote -- because they've already got ALL of that.
Tonight they're trying to revamp their appeal to moderates and Independents, and if the Obama spin machine has any sense, they know that Biden is NOT the person to do that.

Ryan will focus the debate tightly on the numerous failures of the Obama regime -- primarily the economic ones. If Ryan mounts his attacks factually and artfully, he will remove Biden's ass surgically from his backbone (so to speak), and ol' Joe will be left to sputter helplessly all kinds of stupidities and lies against Ryan and Romney. Good! The more of that nonsense, the better. Generally speaking, most intelligent people aren't nearly so unquestioning, gullible, and stupid as they were in 2008. And believe this if you believe nothing else: Paul Ryan will have his factual **** wired-tight!

You are going to see Biden trying to nail Ryan on healthcare and even after Ryan explains it you will continue to see Biden bringing this up repeatedly. Its the old axiom of repeat a lie often enough and people will start to believe it.

With this big of an audience, Biden is going to try and use the stage to scare seniors. I predict that Biden says the word medicare at least 50 times during the debate.

This debate format is horrible! Biden keeps interrupting. When he isn't interrupting, he's grinning like a moron . There is no control or equal time. Biden is totally rude and out of control. What an idiot. Ryan isn't rude. He doesn't interrupt. He's the only intelligent one up there of the 3. That moderator has no control and isn't even trying to control it.

    Its annoying to watch.

Ryan is at a disadvantage... he can't stay on topic and he's short on accurate information.

Biden's rude antics will work against them. Ryan came across far more presidential. Biden acted like a grinning jackass.
Ryan's closing statement was last word and summed it up. That's what people will remember.
