Yes that would be optimal, but this time that is not the choice we face. Up to us? No I think not, I think the candidates are truly representing the decline of the American Empire... Unfortunately I think things will get worse before they get better.

Oh wow New Mexico, that is a juggernaut of a state. I heard him in a debate, and I was not impressed.

There were something like 1600 candidates. Did you know that? You've just never heard of them. You don't hear of them because they aren't the "media darlings" and they aren't funded by Super PACs and they aren't invited to debate. The politicians already in power and the media control us like sheeple.

We do not live in a direct Democracy thank God, and leaving it to the people would be a disaster..most people are dumb. I do no mind an Elite having more input about our governance then some red neck or hill billy.

This is why we need to start teaching people in school when they are children about voting, about our constitution, about our representatives, about our rights. Sure, they do a cursory overview of this information in school, but I think it should be a mandatory class totally focused on these types of issues. No more just skimming over things. We need to teach the children EXACTLY what our founders fought for and why. Our uninformed, indoctrinated and misled people are definitely a huge problem. BUT, that is not a reason to just lie back and accept it. Voting for the correct people for the correct reasons and not because they "bedazzle" us with their words, speeches, etc., is something that should be talked about.

I am voting for HillBill specifically to keep Donald Trump from the Whitehouse.

I actually changed my registration from Republican to Democrat in order to do so.

I'm going with Trump. I am a constitutional conservative, who believes in the American Experiment of self rule, & i see trump as the best choice to keep the experiment going. It is nearing its death throes, with progressive ideology trampling the constitution, violating the basic principles of right to life, liberty, & property, & the headlong rush into collectivist ideology that they have been driving us for decades, now.

My hope is that more Americans will wake up to the deceptions & lies of the progressive left, & they will see the danger they are driving us to. They despise the American system of governance, & are driving us backward, to the dark ages, of elitist rule.

Between the fiscal insanity of the left, & the immigration madness, & the absurdity of massive dependency that they promote, the things to turn back are more than enough for the next administration to tackle, & he/she will need all the help they can get from the legislative & judicial branches. Combine that with the constant pounding of the propaganda drum from the media, entertainment, & academia, & it will be an uphill battle, as ALL of our institutions have become dominated & infested with progressive ideology. I doubt that a single president will have enough influence to change the dominant religion/worldview of collectivist progressive ideology.

Hillary. While she is not a perfect choice, no one electable ever is. Of course, anything is better than Trump

I like Trump's America first policy, he has a reputation as someone who is not a career politician, and I do not really know what Gary accomplished that is so great.

You CAN, however, pay your favorite candidate a million dollars for a 20 minute "speech", apparently.

The only sane choice, from a platform perspective, is Johnson. I will give him my vote out of principal if it looks like Hillary will be solidly defeated by whomever the GOP nominates. If, on the other hand, it looks like it will be a close battle, I will vote for whomever has the best chance of actually defeating Hillary.

If the election were today, and the nominees are the ones in the poll question, I'd hold my nose and vote Trump.

It is my opinion that both Trump and Clinton would leave this country in far worst shape once they left office then when either one entered it. Thus they are out of the picture unless one doesn't mind voting for someone who will lead this country downhill to avoid the other one who will also lead this country downhill. Either way you slice, a vote for either is a vote for compete degradation of this country.

I won't settle for that, I will vote for Johnson. But since almost everyone buys into the propaganda that a vote for a third party candidate is a wasted vote since they can't win. Most will vote for ruination only because one or the other will win. Such is the mindset or brainwashing most of us have fallen into. Voting for the lesser of two evils, still leaves evil in the White House. Its like pick your own poison, cyanide or arsenic. Does it really matter? Your dead either way, so why does the R and D matter if both parties nominated the dregs from the bottom of the barrel?

What a joke! The only reason you would need go change hour reg is for the primaries and then only fir states test for not have open primary voting.

I voted for Republicans backnwhen Ibwas registered as a Democrat and I gave voted For Democratic candidates when I am as now registered as a Democrat.

Even back during the old party lever in our state there was still the option to split your vote- you pull a lever and then push back the guys you do not want and push down those you do.

What state do you live in, Russia?? In Russia you will get sent tonSiberia or made to drink poisoned tea if you don,t vote the party line - Putin.

Clinton as she is the lesser evil out of the two major candidates. I would be interested in learning more about Johnson, but if he is anything like some of the Libertarians here in the forums then I still would see Clinton as the better choice.

I have been studying polls and an interesting aspect is occurring. When the poll gives the respondent only two choices, Trump and Clinton they average out to Clinton 45, Trump 39 with the remaining 16% as undecided, other or will not vote. When the poll asks the same question but gives the options of Trump, Clinton, Johnson and Stein, they average out Clinton 42, Trump 36, the same 6 point lead with Johnson 8% and Stein 5%. But the undecideds and will not vote drops to 9 points.

So Johnson and Stein do take some votes away from Trump and Clinton, but the majority of their votes comes from the undecided, will not vote category. People who refuse to choose between Trump and Clinton since in reality that isn't a choice one wants to make. Too bad neither will have any money to campaign on, with the dislike of the major of Americans for both Trump and Clinton, one or the other just might win. But it all boils down to money, not the quality or the worthiness of the candidates.

I'll be voting for Hillary, cause while highly imperfect, she will continue Obama's progress and improve on it.

I'm voting for Trump because we need to do an about face from the last 8 years of Obamas policies.

We need to secure our borders. We need to focus on our infrastructure. We need to put Americans and America first, and these are the things only Trump is talking about. It's resonated enough for me with my daily concerns that I'll give him my vote.

Add to the fact the candidate on the other side is a guaranteed 3rd Obama term and currently under FBI investigation...and well, the choice is easy.

If he doesnt come through on his talk, I wont vote for him a second time.

Trump will appoint decent judges to be on the Supreme Court. Hillary would just appoint two more liberal hacks like Kagan and Sotomayor. That would ruin the Supreme Court for many years to come.
