"Who's gonna pay for Medicare for all?" is either stupid or disingenuous

On Earth Day, during Earth Hour, I will be a majority of one and leave my brilliant and beautiful lights on, and I won't worry one little bit about the GD polar bears and whales. I'll be human. I’ll be proud.

Venezuela, the rally cry from the uniformed who get their lemming news from Faux. Benghazzi wearing thin ? You just dropped your economic IQ by another 20 points.

By your logic, yearly trillion dollar deficits should really help the economy.

By my logic, deficits would never happen; government wouldn't be permitted to print money. (Smith, Say, Ricardo, Mises, Hayek, Brook, etc.)

BTW: Dont watch FOX; watch CNN, or MSNBC, or the BBC; they are more entertaining.

The libertarian plank. It’s back to he 1800 s when life expectancy was 35 and slavery was the norm, mainly in the name of capitalism. So this is a list of equally deranged people who believe in the personal responsibility of plowing your own roads.

Stop. Your killing me. Slavery in the name of liberty?
What are you going to argue next? Capitalism created the plague and destroyed Athens? Yes is no and no is yes? A circle is square, and a square has no sides?

You are just too, too, much.

What's wrong with plowing your own roads? Done it, and glad we had the equipment to do it.

I guess waiting for someone else to do it is an easier option?

9 of the last 10 recessions under republican administrations. They all start the same way. Tax cuts for the rich, sugar high for several years, then crash when the money dries up. Nothing has changed. We’ve had one federal budget under Trump, that’s one fiscal year, not two ( study what a fiscal year is).

The GOP now wants to throw people off healthcare by dropping Obamacare in courts, eliminating insurance companies mandates and cutting Medicare and SS . If that happens, you can expect a recession in months.

This last month, 196k jobs created. 61k were from healthcare alone. So, you’re bragging comes directly from Obamacare when nearly one third of the growth all comes from one piece legislation. Jobs began at 20 k per month and never looked back shortly after it was pasted

    https://www.thebalance.com/jobs-report-monthly-employment-growth-statistics-3305732

You still owe the solid economy to Obama.....

And just who said the Republicans are capitalists. They are as capitalistic as the pope is atheistic.

All social programs must end, in a reasonable and just manner. Yes, taxes are evil and destructive, but social spending is the epitome of evil and injustice.

The cost of a road per person is pennies. The cost of healthcare could be crippling. You libs love to dump things all in the same basket. It is absurd.

And where in the principles of capitalism is a police force, court system, and an armed defense force prohibited? And why is a government the only institution that can build roads? They must be built by men and their machines, right? So, why can't private institutions build them? What metaphysical, or for that matter, political or ethical principle states: Only government can build roads? That's just silly.

Men need a government, to protect their rights, not violate them.

    The Role of Government:

Ayn Rand: "The only proper purpose of a government is to protect man’s rights, which means: to protect him from physical violence. A proper government is only a policeman, acting as an agent of man’s self-defense, and, as such, may resort to force only against those who start the use of force. The only proper functions of a government are: the police, to protect you from criminals; the army, to protect you from foreign invaders; and the courts, to protect your property and contracts from breach or fraud by others, to settle disputes by rational rules, according to objective law. But a government that initiates the employment of force against men who had forced no one, the employment of armed compulsion against disarmed victims, is a nightmare infernal machine designed to annihilate morality: such a government reverses its only moral purpose and switches from the role of protector to the role of man’s deadliest enemy, from the role of policeman to the role of a criminal vested with the right to the wielding of violence against victims deprived of the right of self-defense. Such a government substitutes for morality the following rule of social conduct: you may do whatever you please to your neighbor, provided your gang is bigger than his." http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/government.html

Amazing how you libertarian types when you describe your utopia, you jump right over pollution, slavery and the thousands of instances where products killed, injured and made lives miserable for the user. Sure, the private sector can build roads and have mall cops. But the cost is astronomical and the short cuts for profit without govt. regulations has already determined...IT DOESN'T WORK.
We’d be doing it if it was cheaper and more effective.....it isn’t. Laughable. We are headed towards more, not less socialism because there are more, not fewer threats to our safety that mall cops can’t handle.

How is universal healthcare going to affect the cost of healthcare ? We’re talking about universal insurance. No one has proposed we have all govt run hospitals.
Private insurance has seven Times the overhead. Every other country with universal care pays much less. I know doubters don’t want to share waiting rooms with minorities, but get used to it.

So, no printed money and you force everyone to work through a bank for all their purchases. Sounds like a money making scheme for banks who now will be totally unregulated.

You take us back into the dark ages with no printed money. You must own a bank. You want a commission on every purchase free people make. Delusional.

    Objectivism ?
It’s pretty objective to see that the economy is co driven by social program spending. It’s pretty objective to see that climate change is real and supporting jobs to combat it grows the economy much faster then watching fossil fuels contribute to a problem the Govt. has to bail out .

You said technogy drives solutions. Guess who the biggest contributor to technological innovation is ? Its not the private sector. You think it’s being objective to deny what every university and research facility in the world promotes ?

The vagueness of the response means that there’s not much thought in this idea....print money still has a place for exchange of services and buying goods that carrying around gold ( precious metal) coins and a credit card just does approach.
