Why are Christians so incredibly gullible?

So what was your purpose for saying all the below?

 

Upon reading Genesis it is obvious to see how ancient man who had a very limited understanding about the Earth, Sun and solar system details in Genesis how light was created to separate the day from night and how GOD also did this in Heaven...as ancient man considered that Heaven was like the Earth and just like the Earth needed sunlight which separated day and night.

As well the story detailing Adam and Eve as ancient man was always quick to blame a women for being the one to court evil such as picking forbidden fruit for Adam to eat and of course the snake was used to represent Evil as humans have an instinctual revulsion to snakes being that we are mammals.

It is all fairly cut and dry as these are the thoughts and words of ancient man detailing what he thought GOD had said and done creating the Earth and Man.

As well GOD is referred to as HE and GOD is said to have made Man in his image and I believe it say's our image as who he is talking about as our or we I can't say.

It is ridiculous to think a GOD would have gender or take a form specific to millions of years of Earth Specific evolution.

Can't put the two together.

You are assuming that it is speaking about the third Heaven.......it is not. There are three heavens mentioned in the Bible......the first heaven is where the birds and clouds are at. The second heaven is where the planets, stars, galaxies is and the third heaven is where the angels and God's throne is. But as I said before the first chapter of Genesis, minus of course verse 1 is not a creation but a renewing or re-creation or repairing.

 

Well that just makes things so much easier! LOL!

I would, believe it or not, love to be able to reconcile modern science and scripture, because I believe it would bridge a great divide for people that can't come to scripture due to having that mind set.

With a mind closed to science how can you possibly do anything but quote scripture. Only by accepting that science has its own answers and considering the two will you ever be able to come to any conclusion.

Have you ever considered the Red Sea crossing episode?

According to the Bible and calculations of the figures mentioned in the Bible later, about 2m Hebrews and all their cattle, sheep and belongings left Egypt. If it was the Red Sea then the crossing would have been many miles wide, and the depth to which they would descend and rise would be great. Overnight 2m people, etc. crossed. Overnight?
Overnight God sent a 'strong east wind' and the Israelites went through on dry land. In the morning watch the waters returned

If it were the Reed Sea, marshy ground, there would be no need of waters piled up either side etc.

 

To a swine pearls would be the same as plastic beads......that is why the analogy is used.
