Belgium is the headquarters of the unelected officials of the EU.

The Arabs know this. Why don't you?

All the western Europe is cibled: in France, they extended the altert to all the country; so, even the tiny cities are very supervised, now...
Also, Belgium is a lot used by terrorists who want to attacks France because their governement is not strong yet, and that the informations taken by Belgium athorities will not always went to the french authorities... so they can more easily get armed, etc...

Also, Belgium is very important in Europe, so, an attack here would be a true shock and that's probably what they want.

Its easier to get hold of weapons in Belgium and there is a well established criminal element as well.

Well that's no surprise, you take in the middle east, you take in all of the middle east's problems as well

Sadly, maybe now Belgium is going to turn into an authoritarian police state to try to deal with all the new social problems it is dealing with. By the way, people focus on terrorism, but terrorism isn't responsible for most of the deaths that are happening. Just look at an American city like Chicago:
15 killed, 82 wounded – just another typical weekend in Chicago

Molenbeek is full of wannabe jihadists and this is where Salah Abdeslam was captured in a recent raid. The troubled Brussels' district of Molenbeek is linked to a number of the terrorists behind last November's Paris attacks. Molenbeek is at the centre of jihadist activities in Europe and there could be hundreds of terrorists who are hiding in the district, plotting the next attack.

Maybe they've given up on Syria (seeing that Assad didn't hand it over to them 4 years ago - Jesus supposing he had? [IMG] Well done 'Basher'!) and have decided Belgium shall be the Caliphate HQ. Well it does make a lot of sense being closer to Europe?
