And yet there is a wisdom there that infuriates you as a "anything, anytime" leftist.

If he's right perhaps you are wrong?

Not an easy concept is it?

Why is it a problem? When you control for number of hours worked, number of years of experience, and relative competence, women make as much or more than men do. They simply work fewer hours, fewer years, and maintain a generally lower level of competence than men do. Jordan Peterson himself talks in one video about having high powered women as clients, how they busted their asses to make partner or senior executive, only when they got there, they weren't able to relax and rake in the bucks, they were expected to work 70-80 hours a week. Most of them didn't feel like that was what they had signed up for, so they either quit or stepped back down on the ladder so they could have a life. Peterson said the question isn't why aren't there more women willing to work themselves to death like that, the question is why are there men who are willing to work like that? But since there are, and more of them than women, the upper echelons are always going to be filled with men.

By the way, discrimination against men in female dominated occupations is rampant, but no one says anything about it. Men find it very difficult to get jobs as nurses, teachers, child care workers, and air hosts (stewards rather than stewardesses). I read once that 25% of all students in Masters of Library Science programs are men, but only 12% of all library hires are men. And the actual odds of getting hired are minuscule, only 8% of MLS graduates had managed to land a library job one year after graduating.

It's been many years now, so the actual dollar value may be different now, but a study once found that most married women make about the same amount of money, $20K a year; the only difference was how many hours a week they had to work to make that $20K. Lower class women had to work full time to make that much, middle class women only had to work part time to make that much, and the upper class women only worked a few hours a week to make that much. The upper class women weren't using their skills and education to make the same amount as their husbands, they were using them to make the same amount as other women, just in a shorter amount of time.

As for why women are statistically likely to have lower paying jobs, that's simple: High paying jobs are inherently difficult, dangerous, or dirty. Women are far more likely to be nurses or teachers than they are to be statisticians, oil rig roustabouts, or plumbers. It doesn't take any more schooling to be any of these things (and none at all for roustabouts), but the latter get paid far more than the former because they are difficult, dangerous, or dirty. So unless you want to start forcing women to work on oil derricks and climb through sewers, you're just going to have to live with women making less than men.

We are not "produced animals". You may not like biology, but it still reigns supreme, despite all our best efforts. Feminist lesbians "blessed" with sons have found out the hard way that they can't make boys be girls. A study on infants found that females preferred visual contact with others while males preferred interacting with things in the environment... only these infants were vervet monkeys, so there was no chance they were "influenced" by ideology, media, or civilization.

All of this last part is true, but railing against it as you're doing is just as pointless. Better to understand reality and cope with it than wish it were something else.

Amazingly enough, this happens. What happens afterward is the problem. Oscar Grant was shot in the back while on his stomach. A black guy, and the cop went home to eat chicken and rice with his family that night, while Grant's family was busy identifying the remains.

Of course, the same is true of Daniel Shaver who was white.

So what can we make of all this? Are blacks being killed, but whites aren't? Nope. So your whole "black people be getting killed by racist cops!" is garbage.

oh, and the shooting was considered legal.

Nice micro quote, hehe. Of course there is racism. But is racism the cause anytime a black person is denied a job, arrested, yelled at, disagreed with? Hell no. And can we agree white people are also mistreated? Your lack of response to address my post speaks volumes because statistics don’t lie.

9/10 times you’re judged by the content of your character, not just your color.

I live in a majority black area. I can say some blacks are racist also.

People's personalities aren't formed in a vacuum. I think that asking ourselves what forces in our society influence women to want what they want is a very valid path of inquiry.

So what indeed. I am simply pointing out reality. Your latter statement is mostly accurate and has been the federal law of the land since the sixties, which puts today's cry about equal pay in realistic perspective.

Then you believe nobody has free will. Everything a person does is the result of "society". And as a result, its always the fault of "society".

Do you believe whites are ever mistreated simply due to their race?

Yeah ... soooo real when you're the only white in town, and the town doesn't like white people.

You need to get out more, Ron.

so no reason at all, huh? they're just ordinary, decent, hardworking, neatly attired, family men, on the commute home from the office.

they aren't thugishly dressed and aimless looking youth, loitering or wandering the streets in the middle of the day with no purpose, or in the middle of the night. they're not waving guns (toy or otherwise .. who's to know from a distance) around. they're not resisting arrest?

I would say colour comes dead last actually, if it factors at all. Character is almost always the reason people respond to us as they do. And a very important feature of character, is the face we present to the world. IOW, your appearance. If you look like a thug, and live in an area known for thuggery, you should not be surprised or offended if you attract police attention. You have the option to not look like a thug, so if you choose to go ahead and do it anyway "muh freedom of fashion", you can't blame anyone but yourself. The world isn't interested in your fashion rights - the world works on likelihoods (it's all we've got .. there are 7 billion of us).
