When in fact, he lived a pretty austere lifestyle in France when he was a Mormon missionary in Paris? In fact, Mitt only had 2 personal servants:

Don't libs realize that it's extremely hard to live in a palace with only 2 manservants? Mitt probably even had to cook his own meals every once in a while when his own personal chef had to take the day off!

    Quote..

" ‘It was a house built by and for rich people,’ Richard Anderson, 70, Kaysville, Utah, told the Daily Telegraph. ‘I would describe it as a palace.’

You know most religious places were built by and for rich people ?
Almost Anything in France has a history of that kind.

" The 19th century neoclassical building they stayed in featured chandeliers, stained glass windows and impressive art across the walls."

What do missions built by other religions look like?
Do they have stained glass windows..impressive art on walls and ceilings ?
Did they get built and maintained by wealth ?

Romney got $ 600 per month.
and he got NOTHING the other missionaries didn't receive..no special meals..bathrooms..OR extra hot water.
Those same servants WORKED for the mission. Just as Cardinals and other religious students do not always cook and clean their own food they did the same for that mission.

Instead of TRUMPING UP CRAPOLA where none exist..why didn't they say Romney speaks French..and WON THE HIGHEST AWARD for missionary work by his church ?
    THE HIGHEST AWARD.
Instead of making up garbage..why not focus on the known Positives.

Why attack his personal life? I could give a (*)(*)(*)(*) what my leader does in his/her personal life. As long as he/she has solid policys and international policy, I would be happy

Well, that's a good point. Why did the right go after President Clinton so viciously while the Newt was doing the same exact thing and lying about it? Why is Newt excused, but Clinton wasn't?

Maybe things changed over the years but Mormon missionaries don't have personal servents. In fact they only receive money from family and have to live with the other missionaries as far as I know. The housing situation is set up by the Church and I've never heard of special treatment for any single person. Nor have I heard of palatial set up for missionaries; usually its just comfortable enough.

Having been a missionary doesn't disqualify anyone from anything in my book.

Clinton got away with it as President. I don't excuse what either did, but it seems liberal try to excuse Clinton while going after anyone with a R next to their name, but often overlook anyone with a D. I say vilify them all for their marital betrayal.

So, then since we can't impeach Newt (yet, nor likely ever), how do we repay the favor to Newt, the hypocrite? Should we dig into Newt's life and put it on display for the public like the republicans (headed up by Newt) did? I see no inconsistency in that approach.

I have to admit, you have a point. Too many people on both sides have manservants.

Who's excusing him? I think Newt deserves that exact same scrutiny applied to Clinton, on a magnitude of say, an impeachment??? 24/7 coverage, repeated every 45 seconds.

I think it's funny too...Newt "doesn't want to go negative""...LOL I'll bet not!!! Wonder why? ROFL

He's out of touch on some issues. The "who let the dogs out" thing comes to mind lol.

But honestly out of all the Republicans I like him the most despite his issues.

I don't think the left is against Romney in the same way that they're against the others. If anyone is strongly against him, it's those on the right.

I was at school with a kid who made a great thing about how he was a self made millionaire in his Twenties.

He never bothered to tell anyone he was the nephew of a billionaire. The banks bent over backwards to "help" this little guy build his business - then he claimed it was all his own work and that anyone with drive and hard work could have done it...................as if.
