Your blood profile stays at about 7.4 pH. If it deviates much from that you are sick.

Pseudoscience would be the key word, especially as to this case. If one uses vinegar, the blood profile can be shifted to a more alkaline state. Yes the same can be done with baking soda, however long term constant ingestion of baking soda is dangerous to digestive health, much better to use Apple Cider vinegar. It does not seem to be the slight acidity, which the digestive mechanism loves, but the enzymes that are present the aid the body organs to do a better job.

There are complete studies on how this works but I have not looked it up in a long time.

I do agree that the effect is probably from the enzymes and probiotics in the vinegar, rather than the acidity.

Yeah, I remember that quack when he was on that other quack's (Dr. Oz) show promoting his newest book.

However, I would prefer to use sound medical data: Understanding Your Blood Chemistry

"Uric Acid (U.A.): Uric acid is a waste product of nucleoprotein metabolism (protein breakdown). It is normally filtered by the liver and excreted by the kidney. In large amounts it collects in the joints causing inflammation and "gouty" arthritis. Elevated uric acid levels may be genetic, but a high-protein diet plays a big role as well.

Recently, elevated uric acid has been found to be a strong indicator of heart disease. Like the blood cholesterol level, it should be kept at a low level within the normal range."

Understanding and monitoring the acid profile has a major effect on the body especially as to heart health. And if one has gout, they really need to be on an acid reduction program.

Gout is caused by uric acid, not just any acid. Uric acid is a by-product of metabolizing protein.

In looking up a reference for another post, yes the action has to do with removal by the liver and elimination by the kidneys of Uric acid.

Personally the liver needs to be well fed. It is perhaps the most important organ of the body and in today's world grossly overworked.

Duh, isn't that what the medical document said? Isn't that what is measured by the blood profile? So what is your point?

But there are other studies that have been done on cancer and baking soda, but that would be outside the scope of this thread.

Disagree all you want. humans exist within a narrow band of the pH spectrum. alter that by much, and you will start seeing health consequences, including death. http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRelatedTopics/DSH/coral2.html

Ah, quackwatch, the dominion of the AMA to prevent any alternative that would jeopardize either their control or ability to obscene profit at the expense of the patient.

Thankfully, this is still a free world, well at least for those knowing how to remain that way, so you go ahead and play with the real quacks, medicine and I will continue with the health side that has many millennia of results.

This past summer I got bitten by a bug and my skin broke out in black and blood red rashes. Doctor prescribed ointment but it was useless. The itching and pain were god awful.

Then, in desperation I turned to ACV. Miraculously it worked!

Soon the pain and itching were gone, the skin cleared, and the problem ended.

Been using ACV for two years and wished I had done so all my life. Everyone should consider using it. And no, this is NOT a commercial as no one is paying me to tell you this.

Give up wheat and use ACV for better health!

Yes, just a part of the things know by our ancestors that have been cast off by modern medicine, after all there is no profit in being well.
