Why elevate the legal status of the unborn above the born?

As far as I can tell this is your fist post here. It definitely can get confusing which threads we have posted in.

You are effectively making a strawman argument, but I can see how easy it is to not realize it. With the slaves we raised their status to be the equal of the free, not above it, as the OP asked about the unborn. The OP's premise in that in elevating the unborn, you then lower the status of the woman, making her rights not equal, but less.

A zogote is a fertilized egg and has has everything it needs but food to develop into a complete human by any definition, therefore it is a complete human being.
