Why exactly is the forum getting moved everywhere?

I know this will be deleted just like the other one that another poster just made. But can a mod let us know why most of the threads are being moved around? I think that as posters here we have a right to know whats going on and the reasons why.

    Thanks

Anal moderators appoint anal moderators. Eventually you get a critical mass of anal moderators and they kill the forum.

Well what exactly are they being anal about? Are these threads in the wrong forum or something?

In their opinion I guess. Although some of the moves make little sense, like holder threatening Kansas being moved to political opinion and beliefs. They would rather have everything nice and neat in its own little subforum than a place where people can come to debate.

There have been a lot of mod retirements recently and I haven't been too happy with the replacements. It seems like friends appointing friends. So naturally they all agree.

Citing "rule 13", my thread was moved to the "private box" by Cenydd....I hotly demanded a public answer to why these threads are being moved. I'll post the response....If I'm not banned by the "new tone"

I understand wanting to keep things organized into sub categories but if 90% of the people here come to 2 forums then why not keep things in those forums....Ill admit I think Ive looked into the other forums maybe 3 times since Ive been a member here.

People post where they are more likely to be heard and can debate more frequently. I'm not going to respond to a thread where the last response was 3 days ago....

You have to understand that our moderation staff comes from the obscure subforums. Its clique of online friends. They don't post in the political forums. They dont even like the political forums. Its a little clique of friends who all agree with each other. Since they don't post in the political forums they don't understand that most of the community stays out of the sub forums and that moving everything to the subforums will drop forum traffic like a rock.

This is just like the politicians and Wall Streeters......when they have something to announce or do that won't go down well with the populace.....they do it during Friday rush hour.....LOL

Its not a new tone. Just enough of the old road blocks have retired. I've had a few run ins with a specific and important mod that leaves you scratching your head wondering how anyone can possibly be that anal. When Sanex ran the forum the rules and guidelines were a half page long. When he left it expanded to 3 pages.

The clique apparently isn't happy about the progressive ideology getting beat like a rented mule in the CE section.

    - - - Updated - - -

There are hardly any conservative mods left here. I sure haven't seen any invited to be a mod.

Again; the mod responsible can go suck on a pistol and kill him/herself.

I'll let you all know who it is when I get an infraction.

I think it is more an anal obsession with order. Although it is a fact that we had and most likely still have an offsite community of trolls who work to get conservative posters banned and some moderators are a members of that community.

Like appoints like. As I said they are all subforum friends.

I would honestly just like for a mod to come here and explain exactly why they are doing this. It would be beneficial for everyone since as of now most of us are forming our own opinions and theories that may or may not be accurate.

Not trying to "fight the system" but am honestly just looking for an answer. As posters I believe we deserve that much seeing how it is us who keep this place running. This forum and email are my two most visited places on the internet but if I have to go hunting through 15 subforums to find something to talk about then I wont be coming here as often. Im sure Im not the only one thinking this way.

I was just told that they're trying out a "new trend" (whatever that means), and it may not go anywhere, but to be patient, and that "we're" sorry about any inconvenience.

I replied that I'll retire, and I'll want my retirement package in a lump sum....because if it 'goes somewhere', this place will be tits up within a month.

Can one of the moderators or administrators please inform the members why threads are being moved from current events.

    Thanks

Yeah well hopefully they read this and understand that posters aren't generally going to go looking through a multitude of different subforums to find topics of interest. Its probably best to leave things how they are now. As a general rule of thumb for me I don't usually reply to a thread that is over a day old and by spreading the threads out they will get looked at a lot less.

Well the writing has been on the wall for awhile. Its bad idea but moderation is so disconnected from the political forum that I don't' believe they understand.

Same here.....political forums are for entertainment and leisure....I'm not going to be unnecessarily inconvenienced by having to scour the myriad barren sub-forums to find a current event that I give a crap about.

Huge fail, if they make such a move. huge.

But they think its broke. I told you they don't like the political forums. They are active on the subforums and they feel that if the political forums were like the subforums their life would be much easier.

I'll be honest, I just hang out in the popular thread section. The only thing that really bothers me are the mods allowing known trolls and flame bait to stay while anyone who calls those things out are the ones to receive warnings.

It's getting so bad that I'm seriously considering leaving. Their's no reason for that kind of behaviour to go on.

Its a trial, basically. Perhaps not a great attempt. My apologies for any inconvenience.

I've told them. They don't care, but they checked the length of my bottom margin for conformity with PF regulations. I kid you not. Lol!!!
